I've often awoke with a jump, but never shouted in my sleep. I don't sleep-talk either. I actually literally cannot speak for the first half hour/hour of being awake. "Ghuh" would be my most coherent.
The rest of the day I don't actually stop talking though, so maybe it's just my brain's way of bracing itself for the hours ahead. :o

I usually wake up ..fall out of bed ..drag a comb across my head .

I tend to talk and ramble more in my sleep but a good kick in the bollix nudge in the ribs sends me back to noddyland pretty quick .

see if it happens again in the next few days.

you should get a clearer understanding afterwards.

I always talk in my sleep. Can make for embarrasing situations at when staying at friends houses at times. Have done everything from sitting up and hitting myself saying "hey, stop hitting me!!" to screaming my head off. But its usually just silly sentences that make no sense. Normal stuff, I wouldnt worry about it.

    Oh, I've done that.

Waking up, who yelled '****!'? Oh... wait... that was me.

    Awkward, I can tell you.

I often wake up shouting and the like. I fell asleep on a plane a few days ago and woke with a jump, waving my arms in the air and making a loud noise as the air hostess passed my seat.

She found it quite amusing and made sure everyone around me heard what happened.

Happens to me on the bus everyday. Sat beside an attractive girl on the bus about a week ago, and she woke me up because she noticed I hadn't blinked in two minutes. Of course, I tried to thank her and explain my brain shuts off when I take the bus after a long day, but what came out of my mouth was more like "Dahrur dunf essashu" and some other gibberish. Worst of all, I was horifically aware of what I was saying, but could not stop. She probably thought I was on some seriously strong drugs.

My boyfriend talks in his sleep all the time. He's always shouting,or laughing. Only this morning i woke up to him saying 'this is the life' and i said 'what?' and he responded by saying 'two baguettes'. I get some buzz out of him!!

Happened me a few times where i'd be dreaming that someone was calling me, i'd hop up and shout ' i'll be there in a minute', then look around and it'd be the middle of the night.

Happened a few times aswell that i was actually being called, but thought to myself 'feck, its happened again', and went back to sleep, was late for work a few times because of that...

My OH woke me up one night by shouting "tiny tiny baby" in a really weird voice. I have no interest in knowing what he was dreaming about!

I remember years ago I was in bed with an ex and we were both fast asleep. At some point during the night while she was still asleep she reaches over, grabs me and yells garbledly at me, before laying back down and snoring away. Scared the absolute sh1t out of me. When I told her about it in the morning, she had no memory of it at all.

I had a dream conversation once that was really vivid with my ex- he was telling me he was going to tie me up and keep me in the wardrobe as his slave. I remember getting so angry and frustrated at my impending imprisonment that my ex (who was innocently asleep beside me at the time) was woken up with a punch to the face, and a few minutes of me yelling at him before I realised it had been a dream! :o
