Ah crud, theres a bug in the GC version?

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,261 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

There was an area about an hour into the game. I cleared out all the enemies and told to proceed through a door which just wouldn't open while all the AI crowded around it. Going to a previous save didn't help. Might have just got unlucky.

Might go back to it to see if I change my mind since it gets good word of mouth.

Loved Metal Arms, first played it on the Xbox and thought it was the business.
Not to freak out Retr0 but the game it reminded me most of was Halo but from a 3rd person perspective.
Loves remotely operating enemy droids and also the weapons are a lot of fun.
Its a bit like a more fun Ratchet and Clank but without the sh1te sidekick and with better jokes.
I didn't bump into any bugs though....

Finally man good job! I presume it's missing the manual? Still an excellent price. If I sell mine I'll be putting a reserve price on it for sure. :pac:

I've no idea what that is, but it looks really cool. Is that a CRT build into the unit itself?

Yeah it is! It's an IBM 5155; basically an IBM PC with a built in CRT and carrying handle. The keyboard happens to be build differently though so I'v to get a specific IBM PC/XT one :(

The person I bought it off got it as collateral for her company when they were helping an old woman move house. She gave them that; since it was lying there doing nothing for God knows how long. Amazing what is out there to be found...

Only know the one retro shop in cork. A lot of overpriced stuff there although Sera did find a dirt cheap Kula World there.

    Yeah it's a balls alright.
They either don't want to risk sending it with USPS,
or just couldn't get a good shippind deal from them.

I reckon if they opened a warehouse in Europe they'd double sales as the shipping puts people off.

    Check out this DIY beast:

After ours died we had it sitting there for a few years and replaced the part earlier this year for probably the same price as what you bought yours for.

    Thats a cracking deal.

PS2 games, and 700MB rips of films are so much nicer to watch on them,

the pixelation is so less noticable, which is probably the same for a lot of CRTs, but the picture on the triton's is sweet,

the sound is very decent for built in speakers too.
