How come evil people seem to find accomplices?

Having just read this story http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2069467/Man-woman-arrested-month-old-baby-raped-battered.html (Really wish I didn't as their actions were sickening)
I wonder how these type of people find like minded accomplices as more and more of these types always seem to have some kind of partner in crime?
Do evil people naturally gravitate to one another?
How in Gods name could someone carry out such an horrific attack on a child-I'd do time for my actions if I caught someone carrying out anything like that:mad:

A man and a woman have been arrested after one-month-old baby was allegedly raped and battered.

The tiny child had a heart attack brought on by his injuries and is fighting for his life.

He was rushed to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, on Thursday at 7am, but was transferred to London's King's College Hospital after having a cardiac arrest there.

It is believed the boy suffered a broken arm, collar bone, punctured lungs and fractures to every rib.

There were also a sexual injury and serious internal injuries suggesting rape, according to the Sun.

The baby boy currently battling to stay alive with the help of a life support machine.

His condition was critical, but he is showing signs of improvement today, said police.
A spokesman told the Mail Online that a 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from the Gravesend area of Kent, were arrested in connection with the incident.

The man is reported to have been arrested on suspicion of rape and grievous bodily harm.
Suspects: The man and woman who were arrested over the alleged attack are both from Gravesend Kent.

They have been released on police bail until Thursday December 8 while inquiries continue.

'This is an ongoing investigation,' said the spokesman.

A hospital source told the Sun: ' These are the worst injuries the doctors and police have seen in someone so young.

'How the baby is alive is a miracle. It's touch and go whether he survives.'

Usually the accomplice is easily led, or they're some sort of outsider and are persuaded by the leader that they understand them, and the accomplice feels wanted and cared for, etc.

Evil people find each other, also it has been well established there is a community of paedophiles so they are aware of each other. Further I don't see how one can be seen as an accomplice they are both equally responsible if they planned it together.

EDIT: Also prison FOREVER for both of them.

This is also possible but it's hard to tell what's what until we know all the facts.

Evil peoples mind become warped. Deep down most probably aren't that evil, more just become numb to their actions I think anyway. But sure what do I know, I'm just an idiot posting on boards while taking a ****.

Because there are lots of sick people and plenty of ways they can find each other and there are also plenty of stupid and weak people who allow themselves to be controlled by sick people...

I remember a very similar story broke when my daughter was a few weeks old - I just couldn't get my head around the fact that someone could inflict that much pain and suffering on such a tiny baby...there are some seriously twisted and wicked people in this world.

If you look at the Moors Murders case, Brady was the murderous psychopath and he found a perfect foil in Hindley because she was in awe of him. There was nothing to suggest that Hindley would've ever committed a crime had she not met Brady.

I didn't mean in this case specifically. And I know there are other ways, but I think that's what happens in a lot of cases.

The part of me that abhors violent vengeance is sorely tested by that story. Perhaps there are people I could kill or see legally killed after all.

The best example is probably the Nazis.

It's a whole lot easier to do bad things when there's someone else there telling you it's ok, and even easier if they're the one telling you to do it, making you feel like the responsibility is taken off you. If just one psycho has enough charisma/leverage/power, they can find an awful lot of people who will follow them. Then there's also the safety and reassurance of mob mentality, helping consciences to be left clear.

These people shouldnt be sent to prison, they should have their namesand addresses publicly known and people should be legally allowed to mete out vigilante justice on them in any way they so wish.

Before you all get excited about your vengence porn, how about saving the baby first, then punishing the perpetrator(s)?

I read the title and skimmed the first line, something bad happened to a baby right, couldn't continue after that, I don't know about evil people but in my experience certain types of people tend to gravitate to one another, drug users to other drug users, religious people to other religious people, sporty/ fitness people to other.......and so on.

disgusting human beings, what kind of person rapes and totures an innocent baby, he probably isnt even old enough to walk yet

but yes like you were saying , people who are alike do gravitate towards each other, evil people gravitate towards each other, as do nice good people towards each other, you can see it in primary and secondary schools- the quiet people will stick together, the smart intelligent or ''nerdy'' people will stick together, as will the sporty cool ones, as will the bullies, as will the assholes,as will the confident loudmouths , in american schools the 'jocks' and cheerleaders stick together,, religious people also gravitate toward each other and as do drinkers and druggies, goths and emos etc. in general all these people stick together, but obviously not all time but definitely most of the time..people like being around people who are like them, therefore evil people gravitate towards each other...

I wouldn't call it 'evil' (I don't really believe in the idea of that), but psychopaths tend to be very charismatic, and the people who act as accomplices are more often than not people with low self-esteem who are social outcasts and are easily led by the main culprit.

Think Charles Manson - obviously mentally ill, but extremely convincing, charming and charismatic to the people he had do his bidding. He picked up girls who had run away from home and were in need of 'understanding', and they loved him and had his back because they felt as though he was looking after them and accepting them. He found the vulnerable.

I think there's a type of person who tends to be more susceptible to falling in with this type of person. I think, for the most part, these people tend not to be psychotic, but are certainly lacking in self-esteem and may be depressed and are more than likely co-dependent personalities. I think they're given a sense of confidence and security from possibly psychotic characters who make them feel loved and important, and give them the confidence to do things that they probably wouldn't have done on their own. There is definitely a certain type of person that seems to find an affiliation and understanding in dangerous, possibly psychotic personalities.

There are lots of cases like the one mentioned in the OP. Some people can be really messed up and when they find someone who is just like them, or is willing to let them do whatever they want for whatever reason it bodes ill for defenceless people in their lives.

I came across this. A whole website devoted to remembering children that were killed, generally by the people closest to them. I wouldn't advise reading too many of the stories.

Not just Germany, convinced nearly the whole populations of Austria,Italy and Japan too that his plan was a good one . Combined populations of those four countries equates to nearly 300 million people. amazing to think he led that many people to believe that everyone who didnt follow their regime was evil and that jews,gypsies,polish people,russians and communists and homosexuals and a number of other minorities had no place in this world and that they should all be exterminated on a mass scale, even babies,toddler,innocent children of all ages,pregnant women, elderly people...How did he do it? I never claimed most abuse was of this kind just that the channels for these people to meet existed, also I never said that the people in this case were definitely equal partners in it just that it was a possibility, read the post I made directly after my first post.

This really makes very sad reading that people could treat children like this. The young baby attacked in Gravesend was only one month old. Coming from kent originally myself I could not believe what I was reading and have to say it was the most upsetting thing I had read since the baby P case though this attack seems even worse.
How the police let them out on bail is incredible. From reading the local paper they spoke to neighbours so it is known who these people are and there is already calls in some places for their names.

I hope this baby recovers and goes on to live a happy life with a loving family somewhere and that what happened is never revealed to him.

The baby is in hospital, what do you expect people here to do? Whether it was planned or not, what difference does it make?
