All Channel 5 Regions, 5* and 5 USA (and +1s) are now FTA
So those who lost Channel 5 when the NI region launched, should have it back now.

I presume the Channel 5 HD is still encrypted, I don't have a HD box to check.

I just checked & I have them on my EPG now as I had set them up earlier in the 'other channels'.:) I don't have the frequency for 5HD so don't know about that.

channel 5+1 still encrypted however, I understand that 5*+1 will dissapear from 177 & will become like itv 4+1 to be replaced by channel 5+1 on epg no. 177

Does this mean that it will also show on the Sky UK epg without the need for a FTV card.I have a Sky box with an expired FTV card and up to now it keeps flashing a message for me to get a new card whenever I hit upon 105?

you will probably need to continue using the card to get the channels on epg but the message should disappear as the channels are no longer encrypted.

So, the channels we don't have on the epg now are C4 HD, C5 HD, ITV2,3&4 HD. Also ITV4+1 which isn't on the UK epg either

I'm in the same position as you, I have an expired blue UK Sky card.
I now have Channel 5 on 105, plus 5 USA (+1) 5* (+1) on 174 to 177 all working fine, no more blue screen :)

Channel 4HD cannot be added manually to a sky+HD box.

Do I need to reboot my Sky HD box or something? Channel 5 is not in the EPG, but I do have it in the other channels section.

Have a look in the first post of the thread, do you have a UK Freesat card? You can get one here if you don't.

I have an Irish card. It's possible I misread this, I thought Sky were adding Channel 5 to the Irish EPG.

All Channel 5 channels now coming through the EPG unscrambled with the FTV card trick. Gadget Show: Christmas special on Monday at 8:00 :)

Yes, you did misread it, the channel 5 family will not be added to the Irish EPG in the near or foreseeable future.

Had channel 5 before using this trick but it was blocked, card is ITV Granada.
Re-did the trick today and no channel 5 appears at all even though I tuned all of them in a couple months ago.Thought all were free to air now.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??
    Have the frequencies changed?

    HELP!

I don't think a Granada card will put Channel 5 on to the EPG using the card trick. I buy and sell these cards and one that I know that defenitely works is a Central Region one. I tried the trick with a Granada one and I couldn't get ch 5 on the EPG at all.

I reckon it will now - I had a London card which didn't work until last week - now it does

It did the last time I did it! Channel 5 was on 105.
Has anything changed in the last few weeks?
