I like Bisping, have meet him a few times and he has always been sound. Not the best fighter out there but not the worst, I would like to see him beat Miller the weekend.

I'm mad for Mayhem to win, really want to see him dominate in MW (besides the Spider of course). This will be a very interesting fight. My most anticipated fight of the year tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,186 ✭✭✭BQQ

Dodson looks a great bet to me. TJ might be able to take him down, but he'll be back up in 2 seconds. Better movement on the feet too.

Diego should win, but there's a small chance he could rush in and get caught in something like Akira did.

Also agree with the posters who said the ref should've stopped the Diego-Caraway fight sooner.

I have never wanted someone to win as much as I want Miller to knock the smug smile off of Bisping's face.

So much hate for Bisping. I think the guy is funny as hell and a really great fighter. He's done very well for himself from TUF:3. Can't wait to see him fight and I'm rooting for him anyways.

I'd like that too, however I'd happily see him win and wait to see Sonnen pound him into a pulp with some nice Ground and Pound.

What time is this on? Is it on Setanta or FX?

I hope Mayhem gets a chance to do one of his mad entrances he's done for Dream, and I want him to choke out Bisping

Some shenanigans going on here, skip to around 16:00 for the Miller/Bisping weigh-ins.

Telling the fans to f*ck off and that he doesn't give a f*ck what they think is way outta line imo.

Quality Bisping, I think frankly he's just an act he's realized fans pay out of hatred to see him get beaten, and that increases his PPV sponsorship money.
Also this exposure might help him jump the more legitimate contenders, man is good at PR. As they say any publicity is good publicity.

I don't think there's a chance of him dominating. Chael beat him before and he'll let everyone know IF miler wins. He'll prop also mention GSP making him leave the UFC last time ;)

I think people are underestimating how quick he dropped n how quick Dodson was.
    Herb did nothing wrong IMO.

    LMFAO
Are you serious? He's suppose to be nice and friendly to the fans who hurl abuse at him at every weigh-in. He shows the same respect he recieves.

Chael beat him what, 9 years ago? That's like 9 life times in MMA. Both completely different fighters. I quite like Bisping and I think he's a top 10/top 15 MW. He's an all rounder, not quite brilliant at anything so hard to back him against guys like Hendo who have one punch know out power or Stumpy Paul Harris who can rip knees off from every angle. Mayhem is similar, also well rounded and probably not with a lot of finishing moves in his arsenal. Bisping will dominate standing and mayhem will look to win via submission.

I think Chael would run through bisping, walk through his punches, take him down, and keep him down for 3 round. I'd fancy Mayhem to submit Chael off his back or slip around for RNC.

one of the things Bisping has going for him is he is generally a very intelligent fighter with good game plans so with the exception of the elite, he is hard to beat.

remember bisping went 3 rounds with rashad who is a top 5 LHW and lost a split decision

I was pretty much certain Diego was going to run through the Finale and KO Bermudez but after having a look at his record I was a bit shocked. I was expecting him to be a relative newcomer with a record like 5-0 with 5 KO's or something. He's actually 13-7 and has been KO'd 4 times. He's been a pro since 2005. Looking back on the tournament thus far, he hasn't actually fought anyone with the ability to take him down and negate his obvious power on the feet. I still think he has a great chance to win but I don't have him down as a 2/7 favourite. I'll be taking a chance on Bermudez at 3/1

Looking forward to the Bisping vs Miller fight (in Vegas at the mo and going to it tomorrow). I fancy Miller,Brandao and TJ.

he's available at 1/3 I think he is defo value there.
    Records can be deceiving.

And I wouldn't be concerned about him getting taken down, he's a BJJ black belt. He easily better everywhere. His only flaw is his aggression and might get caught. But if anybody is gonna help him control that and get a game plan it's Greg Jackson

LOL @ Bispings throwing a wobbler like that, reckon it was over missing weight

1/4 pound is hardly missing weight. 100g is a small piss

    He missed weight full stop.

He had to go back and lose that 1/4 lb.

It took him 2 attempts to get to 186.

It's his job to weigh the weight required by the athletic commission, which only allow fighter weigh extra pound in case the scales are out.

I seen from a earlier post you thinking tell fans to f-off is acceptable aswell

Diego, Dodson and Bisping are all attitude and I hope they all lose. Dont see it happening though

Well ive my opinion on Bisping clear, I think he's the better fighter. But That's not relevant. I'm not being biased regarding the weight issue.
You clearly are, or maybe you just aren't aware, but "missed weight" refers to failing to make the cut off after 3 attempts. 1lb grace isn't due to a potential error in the scales, it's just an AC grace for non title fights.
Bisping didn't miss weight, claiming he did as some sort of character slur is pointless

You're basing Bisping being a better fighter on what exactly?

Everyone else made the required weight on the 1st attempt.

So its acceptable to you for a professional mma fighter like Bisping to take 3 attempts " make the cut off " before you'll say he missed weight.

Its his job to hit the scales at the required weight and then show up on fight night.

And i'm almost certain the extra lb, is to allow for scales varying from scales to scales.

If he's allowed three attempts to make weight, and it takes him three attempts to make weight, then he's made weight. Simple as. He came in 100 grams overweight ffs. He runs aronud the room a couple of times in a hoody and he loses that.

You're making a big deal over absolutely nothing here.
