12mpg in the 101, worth it for the noise of the V8 and grin factor.

Usually around 25mpg but I was only recently re-united with it after six months in and out of three different garages so 20.something over the last fortnight.

Stage 1 V8s are becoming vintage now, shame they were built with pre-rusted steel as it's hard to find a good one!

Like I need another V8 toy to keep me poor :D

30-32 mpg in my Leon Cupra - mostly motorway. Though I think the wet/cold is having a negative impact...

Mostly single lane "R" roads, 25km trips:

I usually fill my VW GTI when it's 5l from empty (6spd 2.0T FSI with 55l tank).

    Sensible: 600km = 34mpg
    Normal: 520km = 29mpg
    Enthusiastic: 470km = 26mpg

    I'm happy with that.

Well my Daily driver Range Rover Sport see's an average of 15.2mpg.. or so the trip computer tells me.... on long runs to Cork I can get 20..

My Dodge on the other hand... I've done the math & I get 7mpg... gotta love 6 pack Carbs on a big V8... but then I do get a lot more smg (smiles per Gallon) in the Dodge :D

Another 22 years and you could put Rover 75 on vintage tax!

I'm getting about 28 - 32 mpg on Motorway runs.

As for Dublin city driving, 21-24mpg.

I can average 38mpg on a long non-motorway journey by driving like my granny (except using the rearview mirror), but when that's mixed with my everyday driving the tank average....tanks.

It's been dropping from a base of 29 since I filled it last Friday 57.86l/€85 to 24.5 today.

I have an app that tells me my MPG is currently 18.1 on average, though the dashboard seems to conflict with it.

It came back from the car doctor after having it's exhaust manifold welded last week with the dash showing 4.9MPG

    I think that constitutes a disqualification :D

I haven't done any much ecodriving in my MPS so for me, normal driving, according to the computer is giving me 15 mpg :o

    Do I care?? No :D

I've never bothered to calculate the MPG I get in the Mk2 Escort. All I know is that every time I drive it, I've got to fill it up......

If I drive like a saint, it's not too bad. Opening up the taps means an empty tank (as in Cork to Clonakilty and back) on a tank......

    ~20mpg in my W123 280E, up to a staggering 26ish on a country run

    Love it though :)

~20mpg on my W208 Clk230, does improve a good deal on the motorway but the calibre of driving on the M50 means i rather go from raheny to sandyford to work via the east link in medium traffic.

On another note what's the worst MPG you can get according your OBC? In the golf, floored in 2nd gear with TCS/ESP going nuts I can get her to 99.9l/100km I think that's as far as it goes!

Well my 2.0 TDI Passat with DSG does about 1000-1100km per (approx) 70L tank - I've no idea what that works out to as I only have the Comfortline computer and it doesn't give "fancy options" like that :o

Does it help that it's less since it's gotten near service time? :p That might be considered "good mileage" but not when you're filling it every week @ €100 a go :(

I have no idea what mpg my 325i does but I do know that I normally get just about 300km per tank of petrol.

Well I actually get immense pleasure from it but yes I know what you mean :D

I have M3 clocks in my car so I am convinced something is out. It's a jap import as well so not even sure what size tank I actually have.

    For 70l that's 40.5 to 44.6 mpg

Realistically you fill up before the tank is nearly dry so it's more like 45 to 50mpg I'd say :)

My Mini probably qualifies for the thread, it's an '06 Cooper 5-speed, and does in or about 30 mpg (but I don't keep a check on it).

My merc 280 ce usually delivers around 23 to 25 if driven carefully, however when I enjoy it and throw caution (and life is too short not to) it returns around 18mpg but for the occasional spin its feckin worth it :D;) as it puts the smile back on my face and also on the faces of enthusaists.:p

Tank is about 22 gallons and I filled it up in Bangor (Wales not NI) so approximate 280 miles to London via motorway followed by 35 miles around town and I've about an 1/8th left. That's about 15mpg which is the worst I've had on a long distance run. Can usually get around 20 on a long motorway run.

Confab: not sure why you have a loud edal, mine gurgles mightily even when idling.

On the diesel front, any of you notice FF's proposal to abandon green diesel. Maybe hat's too OT.
