    Bet it's a V8 ;)

Indeed a 4.2 supercharged v8 in a very large metal shell.

Confab: not sure why you have a loud edal, mine gurgles mightily even when idling.

Mine is a 1.8 Alfa with a resonator mod, yours is a 4.2!

I've had a bit of a heavy foot this week......I put in just 46.5 litres as soon as the petrol light came on and I had only covered 330kms! I would normally get about 400kms, but in general I do a lot of short journeys

I'm beginning to think that calculating MPG is a horrible thing to do. Maybe it's better to just pay to fill the tank to whatever level and ignore the MPG.

Unless MPG is going to save you big bucks its best to forget about it.

Thats my expert opinion on the whole mpg subject. Ignorance is bliss!

True, over the last few months ive had my head wrecked looking at trip clock and fuel bar.

It always works out at €60 a week anyway so im trying to just forget about MPG .

Considering i will easily blow €60 on a night out on the weekend.

    AMV8 (2006+)

Though I only get to drive it every few months for a fortnight a time. It's in storage in Ireland and I live abroad. I love going home.

    01 Scenic 1.4 7.5l/100km : 38mpg mixed city and country
    01 Hiace 10l/100km : 28mpg mixed city and country
    03 Hiace D4D 8l/100km : 35mpg long fast motorway runs only
    88 560 SEC 17l/100km : 17mpg country and fast autobahn
78 450 SEL 20l/100km : 14mpg country and cruising, sometimes fast on the autobahn.

Last two were sold in the past month, I need the cash to expand the business a bit, thirsty bastards but I'll miss them. I'll get another W126 SEC here but its going to have to be 30 yrs or older, they came out in 81, there should be a nice selection to choose from in the UK from 2013 on. :)

Nissan Cefiro 2.0 V6 (de-catted). I can see the needle move when I mash the loud pedal. My favourite naughty trick is blasting away from toll plazas with o/d off and transmission switched to "power". I also sometimes can't resist trying to get ahead of something more powerful, did "traffic light gp" against a cayenne the other day.

I think something like 26mpg on the motorway and in the city round 17-19mpg

    02 STI

had a 94 impreza sti RA that was cruel on petrol. uprated turbo, injectors, fuel pump etc. rolling roaded @ 319 bhp. could empty a full tank in 12 mins at full tilt. €45 to drive from limerick to cork off the turbo.

I know there ain't supposed to be any diesels, but the thread also says 30mpg or less qualifies so ...

3.2 diesel - 28.2mpg over last 6k ish miles (only logging economy since middle of September)
    Best of 30.49MPG
Worst of 25.06MPG (which involved some towing)
