Super Mario v Sonic the Hedgehog??

Mario wins because of the following reasons:


1. Mario was more resourceful - He lived off the fruit of the land and ate mushrooms, flowers and leaves along the road to help him grow stronger and faster. Sonic just nicked gold rings, at times behaving quite the cleptomaniac (remember those 'bonus' rounds).

2. Mario was harder. If he got hit, he took the hit like a man, shrunk and carried on, he regrouped. If Sonic got hit or hit a spike, he dropped all his gold rings like a whiny child throwing their toys out of their cot. He was so negative.

3. As has been discussed, Sonic only had one 'friend', Tails who he didn't even respect, he just bitch-slapped him around more or less, treating him as irrelevant at best. Where were Sonic's family? He was probably disowned by them for stealing all their gold jewellery. Mario had loads of mates - His brother, Yoshi, the clouds, princess, Toad, the Kings.

4. Mario was a better swimmer and could pose as a statue to trick his foes (tanuki mario) :cool:

5. There was no 'Sonic Kart' that I can remember.

6. I'd like to add that my SNES still works. My sega died years ago.
