The screen of the dude standing looks a lot like a mod of gta4, tbh.

If the official map looks anything like that, I'll be well happy with it.

the error analysis above shows they've most likely been photoshopped.

Maybe so but they look pretty well done if they are fakes.

maps do look good I'll admit. But the gameplay image is a copy from GTAIV. To be honest i'll be disappointed if that is the map.

yea, id prefer even more countryside in relation to the size of los santos in that map. Im playin through san andreas at d mo, i love cruisin along the back roads lookin for opportunities for mischief, or just cruisin.

The background buildings of the 'leaked' screenshot are just copied from the trailer:

The left hand side is from the screenshot. The right hand side is from the trailer at 0:38.

On the bottom left of both maps, the dollar ($) symbol is after the money, when it should be before. It's something Rockstar wouldn't get wrong:

Also, the colours are the same of the San Andreas map. It's just too much of a coincidence.

does anyone else think the salton sea (a salt lake S.E. of L.A.) would be perfect for inclusion in a gta game. ive seen a few documentaries about it.Its a an extreme environment full of these really out there counter-culture types.

    • The lead will be a 30 something black man
    • GTA V will be four times bigger than GTA IV, with settings including countryside, a forest and beaches. It apparently takes as much as 15 minutes to get from the centre of the game's city to the forest on its outskirts. Tasty.
    • The game features all new animations and visuals, which will mark a big improvement on those found in GTA IV.
    • Responsiveness has been greatly improved.
    • There are more than 100 important, or semi-important non-playable characters.
    • There are no children in the game, and apparently there never will be.
    • Animals will feature in the game environment for the first time.
    • Players can choose to hijack planes.
    • Cars need to be refuelled.
    • Players can blow up cars by shooting a trail of gasoline.
    • You can use random civilians as a human shield.
    • The weather will affect gameplay.
    • Social mini games are gone, but games like basketball and weight training are necessary to build player stamina.
    • You can take part in underground cage fights and arm wrestling competitions.
    • Your character's skills controlling vehicles will improve with experience.
    • You can make home made weapons.
    • You can lock doors and barricade yourself into buildings.
    • Cops will use tear gas, attack dogs and riot gear among other items. Pursuits will be more realistic.
    • Weapons available include remote mines, flamethrowers, trip wires, claymores, swords and axes.
    • The game will feature large scale interior environments which include shopping malls, hospitals, police stations and sprawling underground sewers.

Why would people want children in the game anyway.
I'd like to see the social aspect back, as long as it was put to hte background and not have them calling all the time.
That homemade weapons is shi*te though imho. Not gonna happen I'd say.

Cars need to be refuelled - Thats going to be stupid.
The weather will affect gameplay. - Thought it did anyway
Your character's skills controlling vehicles will improve with experience - glad this is back
The game will feature large scale interior environments which include shopping malls, hospitals, police stations and sprawling underground sewers - Vice City had this (the shopping mall was huge)

IMDB.com's listing for Grand Theft Auto V has star of the last game, Niko Bellic, listed as one of the credited cast. Voice talent Michael Hollick reprises his role as the Eastern European bad boy according to the game's credits so far, however how much involvement he will have in the game is still unconfirmed. Also credited is Ned Luke in the role of Albert De Silva, with Young Maylay being rumoured to take the role of San Andreas lead Carl C.J. Johnson once more.

    From the same site...

One thing I'd love to see is a nicely done multi-story carpark. (I know, I'm boring.) The ones in previous games always felt too empty to me, loads of free spaces no matter what time of day it was or if it was in the centre of the city or not. Would love a place where there were 200 cars parked ready for the taking! Would be great as well to have people parking and driving out at times as well. I know there were times in GTAIV when people would pull over and park, but I rarely (if ever) saw people getting into their cars on the side of the street and drive off.

I know it would be an absolute bitch to program, but what would be cool is if you followed a particular car around for long enough, you'd see the driver pull in for diesel, park up outside somewhere, get out and go away for a few game hours, then the same guy would come back and drive off. Would be a nice touch imho.

One thing i'd quite like to see is the option of an in car view while driving. It makes you feel more like a part of the environment.

to hard I'd say, I've always thought it would be cool if they could combine sim city with GTA, that way you'd have an actual running city with rush hours and citizens travelling to work and the likes.

The only problem is it could affect the driving gameplay because you'd be stuck in traffic the whole time, not to mention the more stuff on screen the slower the game runs.

They're really leaving it far too long between information. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking the hype for this is dead at the moment? They should've released a second ad by now, or at least some factual information or teaser bits about the game. Anything at all.

No one really seems to be talking about it anymore. :(

I'd agree. Although I lost a lot of hype when I found out it was only one city. (Can't let it go.. :()

I think the hype has to be allowed to drop significantly before we will hear about the game again from something official.
There was such an almighty amount of gearing up for the trailer that to let all that settle down for a month or two then announce something more that gets people talking again makes sense from a marketing pov.

When rockstar announce more details or another trailer, people will be buzzing again about it at somewhat the same level as when the trailer came out. Then that will be rinse and repeat until we get closer to a release date.
There's no way that they could have maintained the talk and speculation of the game constantly for the next few months, to do that would be to blow the load too early.

the next bit of info will probably contain a release date so I'm willing to wait for a bit anyway...

Only so many times you can watch the trailer and read the same comments in fairness. I was quite regularly keeping an eye on the gtaforums.com GTA V forum but it's just going over old ground now.

    A new trailer can't come sooner! :(

Surely they will release one before Christmas?
