Does anyone else think that AOC looks like either this guy or this guy in that video.

    Nope. Maybe Paul McGrath though.

Thats some technical ability ot of Oxo, I reckon he's gonna be the next wonderkid to come out of England, on a par or even better than Rooney.

Whats the recovery time from a hernia operation?

I'd love for Wenger to go for Vertonghen in January...

I REALLY want to see this lad feature more in the first team in the prem. We've seen he has the talent; he can cross, dribble, has pace and can clearly finish. why isnt he getting more game time? hope to god he isnt theo version 2

Theos pace is what was showcased when he was signed, he wasnt firing them in like this. This guy has proven that given half a chance he is capable of scoring. Any team would be shítting themselves if he got the ball outside the box (like in the video), he cant be given any space or he'll score. I've seen a few videos of him and he seems like a really sound lad too, dying to see more of him. I know that no one wants him rushed in and burn out and implode, but i cant see why he cant get a few sub appearances in.

"Hmm we need to attack and get a winner, who will i bring on? Oxo put your tracksuit back on you silly boy, Arshavin get out there an show us your magic" The mind, it boggles!

At this stage of his career you want to be bringing on Chamberlain in tight games to try and score a winner? The mind really does boggle. He needs to be given more opportunities when we're comfortable first. If he impresses, then he can take on more responsibility!

While I wouldnt want to rush Ox, I'd say he'd be a better option than Arse-shavin' (and Bender! :P) in such scenarios.

Of course that was an over dramatic makey up quote but you know what i mean. I said in a previous post that he should be given a few sub appearances over the next few games and then if he is doing well there is no reason he cant get a run out in january when gervinho is gone.

And yes i would prefer to bring on oxo if a goal is needed, who else do we have? He has already impressed, he is scoring in practically every game is plays. He is a confident lad (but not in an arrogant way) and knows exactly what he is doing and not running around like a headless chicken. I dont think the whole pressure/responsibilty would mean anything to him, he'll just go out and do what he enjoys and does best and score :D Regular sub appearances or even just a place on the bench is the least he should be getting at the moment.

I'd be a better option than Arshavin the way he is playing, his attitude is nothing short of a disgrace and he should never be allowed even near an Arsenal jersey until he starts showing at least a bit of heart. Hes a shadow of the player he was, I remember his 4 goals at Anfield and thinking to myself we've a future all time great on our hands :confused:

I'd like to see more of him too and at the very least feel that he should be on the bench, nevermind coming off it! He has 2 goals for us in 4 appearances, which is a good return, but the only place he's genuinely proving his worth at the moment is for the U21s. You can't argue that it's the same thing really, but he does look very promising.

Indeed, maybe his U21 success wont transfer over to the senior team but sure there's only one way to find out...

We will be associated with numerous players but probably buy nobody. The usual January thing. We do need an out and out goalscoring centre-forward to help RVP though.

Love Frimpong, he's like it ain't no biggie being beside Henry. Glad to see Henry though. Even if he's there just to train.

Who's the tall blondy fella in the last one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Maybe he can show Chamakh where the goal is.

Brek Shea, I think that's who it is because he's American and on trial at the moment.

Wiki says he's just training with us, which would make sense with the partnership we have with them.

Anybody spot Diaby training in those pictures?

Wonder where he'll finds himself once he's back in the first team. Is there a space for him at the club?

I think he may have to adjust his game, you know like to a stage where he'll actually be of benefit and contribute to us

I actually consider him the most technically gifted player we've had since Henry (even above Fabregas), which makes it an even greater shame that he can't be bothered.

Well since both Gibbs and Jenkinson are out for the norwich game, what do you think the back 4 will look like?

I'm going for Koscielny - Mertesacker - Vermaelen - Winger wannabe :p (Santos)

Has Koscielny been played out of position yet and is Djourou injured? If not, I reckon Djourou will get the nod.

Not yet. Djourou got the nod in this situation before, but it'll be a run of games this time. He'll rotate Kos & Mert at CB and Kos & Djourou at RB I reckon...
