I think it's only a matter of time before somebody loses the head and shoots one of these guys... cos there is no justice in this country.. I really have no idea how the people in Priory Hall are coping...

    Fraudulently so...

If that's the case their should be recourse to law for these people.

    Terrible behaviour.

Mathew Elderfield needs to walk into the Central Bank armed with a gun, like Roddy Piper in the movie They Live... "i am here to chew bubble gum and kick a*ss, and i'm all outa bubble gum".

There is no excuse for doing this in this fashion.

However, you have to look after number one in life and not place blind faith in people.

    FYI

Custom house capital were not supposed to be invested in property

Their prospectus assured they were not a property play

The investors were swindled plain and simple

Well, you know what, if that was me and my child, I would spend my money on the child I already have, before popping out more and expecting the state to pick up the tab...

Harsh realities of life, but if HSE can't/won't pay, then you as the parent have to. It's your duty and responsibility, not anyone else's.
The vast majority of parents do pay for private therapies, many have to spend the equivalent of a mortgage every month in private interventions.

Well yes I agree partially but you should NEVER put all your eggs in one basket but they were defrauded yes and I suppose you can't plan for that.
That's life I suppose. Harsh. If they were Gay Byrne or Mike Murphy they could get a handy few quid from RTE aka the taxpayer to soften the blow.

This is sort of equivalent to having money in a bank account and the bank folding...CHC was overseen by central bank and pensions board... but if it was in a bank depositors would be guaranteed.

I agree with the eggs in one basket thing and apply it to my own affairs, but with pension funds, you expetc protection and that the fund diversifiies it's captial investments for long term return and security as best they can...

There is no such thing as a secure investment.

There is real desperation coming across from these men. I'm not sure this country can ever recover until those responsible are held responsible. I include Charlie McCreevy, Aherne and the rest of them in that. I include liars in the media and estate agents and Patrick Neary. There is a long list.

Famous case, english speaking, lots in media about it...probably happened the world over, but it's not in the headlines.
CHC didn't make the front pages or a big story...I'd reckon Home Payments got more coverage on RTÉ
