My biatchy side is imagining what it would be like to do it but i really couldn`t - Hubbys ex has an undeclared income along with social welfare nearly dropped when I toted up what their getting its equivilent to 2 incomes, mean while we`re scrimping by to pay maintanence for their daughter (which of course we should be paying no gripes there).

This woman has spent a decade doing everthing she can to wreck my head and has cause me a lot of upset. I love their daugher and couldn`t do anything to hurt her so like I say I couldn`t do it.

So how wicked is your wicked side would you do it given the chance, ladies opinions especially?

No I wouldn't, not under most circumstances anyway.
Sounds to me like you just have something personal against this woman.
Think about it - shop her and what do you achieve?
It doesn't help you and your financial situation at all does it?
I know it's illegal, but I personally stand by my own morals over the law with most things, and ethically, I just could not do it.

What, reporting someone for scamming the state is exposing your wicked side? Fook that!

Every Euro someone scams off the state is a Euro they could be putting into a hospital, a nursing home or a school.

You have the perfect excuse to f*ck this woman in the sphincter (in the proverbial sense of course)

All social welfare cheats are robbing the country and the tax payer, they should be reported.

    I don't think i could.

I think the government are playing a smart one though. They are saying that they want to make savings this year by cracking down on welfare fraud and they won't cut the headline welfare rates or increase taxes etc etc.

In other words if they can't make the savings from fraud they will be back to hit the common man and woman to make the necessarily savings. The choice being welfare fraudsters pay or YOU pay.

If there is a child involved I beg of you to please not do this.

I've had to lay off all of my staff because i couldn't compete with being undercut in jobs by people working while they claim the dole. All i got for trying to do the right thing was a **** load of trouble from the revenue because i couldn't get enough money from jobs to pay what was due.
**** them, cheats are destroying the country as much as the feckless bastards who run it.

Yes, because criminal activity is fine if it benefits a child in some way.

In my view somebody who knows about Welfare fraud and decides not to report it is an accomplice to a crime and should be charged accordingly. Sorry OP. That means you!

Don't do it out of revenge.....do it out of decency and ethics.

A lot of welfare cheats have kids, that doesn't make it OK. Not only is the woman the OP mentioned getting money off the state, she is also neglecting to pay taxes, costing more. Fcuk her, she deserves no sympathy or leeway.

I'm going to be totally honest and not afraid to say what others might be fearful to in case of reaction.

I would - in certain circumstances.

If I saw a genuine case of a decent person (with a family or not), constantly looking for constant work but finding none - but does once in a while pick up a nixer, I would be very reluctant to report them.

    * HOWEVER if I knew of someone claiming the full dole and was actually working five days a week nixers and was in possible very decent legal normal job too, Yes, I would report them.

Yes if it was in my best interests. My cousin is cohabiting with the father of her kids but claims lone parents. If i shopped her in i would probably have to endure her and her kids in my house more often. I defo shop people in who i dont like.

I'd shop her. But only to satisfy a grudge.

These threads are always the same, it's ok to rob the country and the tax payer,it's the workers that are getting the pay cuts. why all the sympathy for people on SW.
I have sympathy for any one who has lost their job but not for people claiming SW and working.

People on welfare are undercutting self employed people who are trying to make a living, why because they are guaranteed an income every week.
