Nope they are with the away fans - it appears that they aren't on sale/only available to red/silvers but if you actually click into the ticket centre they appear on General Sale.

Agree re Wigan - £59 for Us, Chelsea and Liverpool is savage value.

Thanks for that, for you see i'm waiting for Everton to go on general sale, didnt know it might be different if you click all the way through.

Roughly how long do tickets usually go on general sale? Wanna head to Anfield in March and would be sweet to get my Liverpool-supporting mate in with the Arsenal fans, he'd be less likely to start a fight amongst them than me amongst the scousers. :pac:

Dunno if Liverpool away would go on GS - I'd say Silver/Red would have them hoovered up. Think Wigan is on GS cos its Wigan :p

They only go on general sale if they are not all snapped up by all the silver and red members, they wont make it as far as general sale for liverpool.

    Interesting stat tweeted by ArsenalStatMan.

League table since the end of the transfer window

    1. #City 22,
    2. #Spurs 22,
    3. #Arsenal 18,
    4. #Newcastle 18,
    5. #United 17,
    6. #CFC 15,
    7. #Liverpool 12.

Shame the league actually started 3 weeks earler

Shame we waited until the season started before sorting out our transfers is what you mean. If all business had been done by early August we might be a lot closer to the top 2.

Would it be worth becoming a red member for that game? Would they likely be gone before getting to the reds?

    Yes, that was the implication

Looking back at the results and the number of bookings/sendings off in those first few games, you get the feeling that the squad as a whole was still in pre-season mode until September.

It'd definitely give you a better chance but i think you'd need to get a membership per ticket so you'd need two memberships for the 2 tickets. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe get the one membership and hope you can find someone with another who is not going to let you use theirs for the other ticket? It'd be easier to find someone with one membership to lend rather than two to lend.

Wouldn't say ya have a hope as a red member even big away days don't even make it too red

His quotes always come from the Daily Star aswell which is really strange given his Eton college background!

Stuart Pearce still can't seem to get his head around the fact that the under 21s is for developing new talents, not picking tried and tested full internationals so that he can win trophies

Arsenal are chasing Rennes midfielder Tongo Hamed Doumbia.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the best emerging talents in France and Gunners scouts have alerted Arsene Wenger about the possibility of a transfer.

Doumbia is 6ft 3in and can play in the centre or on the right. Rennes were willing to sell for around £8million but interest from Russian clubs CSKA and Spartak Moscow could increase the price.

    anyone know much of him?

Arsene Wenger's search for further midfield recruits has taken him to Portugal where Benfica's Javi Garcia has been scouted by Arsenal.

The Gunners are considering a bid in January for the midfielder, who can also play in defence.

Garcia has been capped by Spain at Under 21 international level, and is under contract at Benfica until 2014.

    Again anyone rate him?

More central midfielders? Surely we have enough options?
Song, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta, Rosicky, Yossi (although he seems to be utilized more on the wings), Frimpong, Coquelin, Diaby (lol).
I would imagine we'd need to offload somebody before bringing in another.

He NEEDS rid of diaby imo :) Rosicky is ageing :) I think he should sell arshavin tbh hes no performing like he should :)
Frimpong and Coquelin will have to step it up to replace Song :D

I think its most important to get RVP to sign a contract this year more than anything else :)

Indeed he is but.......... he does look like he is enjoying the more physical/defensive side of the game nowadays and as a squad player there is a benefit to having him in the team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,920 ✭✭✭pudzey101

Oh dont get me wrong i love rosicky when he plays good :) its just his injuries puts me off wanting to see him play
Wudnt mind if we sold him on and got benayoun on the cheap ( there the same age also) :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,989 ✭✭✭Noo

I agree about arshavin and diaby. I think rosicky has done well when he has played this season and is good back up to have, he definitely shouldn't go before those other two!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Of all the players that we could get rid of without weakening the team, Rosicky has to be very low on that list. True, he isnt the player he once was but he has been very good this season, the majority of the time. It would be different if he was playing like Arshavin and complaining about game time but he's done neither from what I've seen. He's accepted that he is now a squad player and has put in a good shift whenever called upon.

If we get a decent offer for Arshavin (really, at this stage anything over £5m is looking really good!) we should take it before they change their mind. He's on quite high wages too I believe so that would really help in the search for someone to partner van Persie if we can offer that little bit more.

Ditto for Denilson and Diaby. I reckon we're stuck with Squillaci until his contract expires as no-one is going to be willing to pay for him. Chamakh would be next on my list to be booted out. If they are the only players we lose in January/next summer, I'll be very happy indeed.

If we need to buy anyone at all it should be an out and out goal-scoring Centre Forward. I mean CENTRE FORWARD.

I'm digging having Rosicky as a defensive player, gets the boot in now and then and looks like a natural ball-winner, strange to see someone his age move to a completely different role and seem to fit right in. He makes the odd slip but no more so than Song as far as I've seen.

Rosicky is one of the best slide tacklers around. They're so clean when he gets them right.
