People also forget that about 10 days after 9/11 another plane went down in Queens and crashed mysteriously into a block of apartment. This was explained off at the time as 'an accident' and then quickly swept under the carpet. I don't buy it- they got hit twice but such was the grief of the nation at the time they couldn't admit it and were in denial.

2 months and it was pilot error. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_587

In what way? I would entertain the idea that the powers that be are potentially conspiring to keep Africa in a mess, but outright refusing that Africa exists as a geographically supported location is a bit much even for myself to muster:)

    Then again, I think you're just trolling:D

You caught me. In fairness though I've heard madder conspiracy theories. Flat earth theory anybody?

Imagine the amount of people that would've had to be involved!

Miss Lewinski couldn't have sucked them all off, surely?

Here's one: Monica Lewinski is responsible for 9/11. It's so obvious...

As for my views, the JFK assassination doesn't add up to me. At the very least there was another shooter

It's probably one of the few that could be plausible.

The thing that makes me doubt it though is that it was the height of the Cold War and surely if there was any chance of a conspiracy, the Soviet Union would have been all over it.

JFK was taken out because he was treading on too many toes.

I believe the world trade centres fell because bad guys, mostly from Saudi Arabia, crashed planes into them.

I am suspicious that more people may have known that 9/11 would happen than we're told but have little in the way of evidence of that except irregular trading on the stock market.

I'm confident the USA put men on the moon when they did. I don't think the Soviets would have let them away with lying about it. They left equipment up there and they recently took shots of Apollo mission paraphernalia.

I think Banksters are the most powerful people in the world by far.

I think the worlds greatest resource is people and in particular the tax-paying middle classes. If you can gain control of the middle class (tax wise) you have a fantastic revenue stream.

I believe, and there is plenty of evidence that, the control of hydrocarbons and the fragmentation of Russia and it's allies is the primary goal of the US/UK/NATO - Iran is the pivot point at the moment.

I believe in banshees because it would be foolish to believe otherwise.

I can believe it's not butter.

I believe MR Stuffins works for The Illuminati.

    Cats are the nuts.

Flat Earth theory.....my goodness. What disproven sh!te people will place faith in.

That's the thing about conspiracy theories most can be seen as just non-sense ... but out of them all. A certain percentage has to be true.

We live in a world where things are swept under the carpet & the public only gets a fraction of the truth.

So there for, some conspiracy theories have to be true.

    moon landing....nonsense.

well someone had to say it!

there's another one where there's a group of shadowy characters who recruit people, who in turn recruit their children, into their group. Ths group are rich and powerful. They meet up once a week and the ones n power strike the lowly ones with fear in order to get them to do exactly what they say.

It involves telling them that there's a man in the sky who created them and he watches every single one of them all day and all night, judging them on what they will do now with intentions of punsihing them for it later.

Can't remember what it's called though.

I simply think of it like this. Humans are basically imperfect, so it's not unreasonable to suspect that "unfavourable" events can and will be covered up given the chance. To think otherwise, is to deny a very saliant characteristic of the human species. Nobody is perfect.

That's the gamblers fallacy i'm afraid. Just because a high percentage are true doesn't make the small percentage leftover true.

Each case has to be taken on it's merits, with facts and proof being taken into consideration. Maybe all of them are true, maybe none. But there is no rule that says that some of them HAVE TO be true. There's a statistical likelyhood that some of them might be true, but it means nothing unless each case is investigated seperately.

I believe that the people who would suffer from a conspiracy being found out to be true make sure that the conspiracy gets more wacky and OTT by feeding the frenzy and throwing out false facts to discredit the truth that is ends up lost among the craziness.

The Rothschild Conspiracies are very interesting. There is a certain truth to their heritage and vast power. They Lend to Governments FFS! Something is up with these financial "advisories" imo. Look up the facts on youtube. Some of it is eye opening.

Well no, each case is individual. Thus each has it's own truth value. Usually they contain such complicated chains of presuppositions that Occam's Razor basically renders their respective investigations a waste of time.

Roswell is very sketchy. Weather balloon my hole. At best, it was a top secret military project.

Maybe, but there are no aliens around. Sorry, I don't believe that. Just too far for them to travel, and the chances of them finding us is tiny.

Everyone should have to study a little science and philosophy; the former so that they understand how to gather and use evidence to establish 'facts,' the latter so they know how to question these 'established facts.'

Not going back to it, but did a few posters pooh-pooh 9/11 conspiracy theories and then go on to say that they believed the moon-landing hoax theories? Sweet Jesus. That is the inversion of all common sense.

    How so?

    And who is conspiring exactly?

For what it's worth, I also have a niggling feeling that 2012 is going to be an important year worldwide.
After watching a documentary the other day on channel 4 about how things are done in Greece (crazy pension entitlements, systemic tax evasion and bribes, far too many public workers) I have next to no faith that they can get their act together and act like a responsible country. So I think the euro could fcuk up in 2012 which would cause a lot of damage and deep worldwide recession.

I believe this worldwide crash of economies has been engineered by a bunch of elites to benefit their own end goal.
