Tegopelte, a VERY ancient top predator

I had no idea about the existence of this 30 cm long creature- one of the largest animals of its time. The article is about a trackway seemingly left by the creature:

And, now that we're talking about weird, trilobite-like, prehistoric looking critters...



It's a trilobite-beetle (yes, it is really called that) from the rainforests of southeastern Asia. The females like the one in the video are neotenic and look like armored larvae their whole life! These bugs are very, very rare to see.
