Cheers. I'm a bit in shock myself!

Didn't think I would ever have a chance to own that game. Even if it is completely and utterly exospherically, biblically, unforgivingly HARD.

    Very nice!

Need to sort myself out with a Japanese ps2 soon! I can just hear my wages screaming for mercy! :P

    Celtic Tiger kids

Their innards are the same, the case is the same, only you'll pay a fortune to have it delivered, you'll need a stepdown too. FCMB will let you play your original discs from any region. And I mean original, the author doesn't support piracy. HD Loader is a different story though.

I have the network adapter still sealed, never used it on my chubby PS2. I went for a modchip instead and that works fine (although PS1 compatibility is a bit odd).

Weird as it sounds I'll probably make a backup of Ibara and play it off a DVD+/-R instead. Don't really want to risk damaging a disc that rare. Alright it's not as rare as Darius Alpha or Sapphire but still... it's not really of the same value as FIFA 97 or Jennifer Capriati's Tennis! :pac:

I read somewhere the PS2 version of Ibara is censored and plays a bit different to the PCB too. Keen to find out the changes. Anyone know what the full story is on the PS2 version?

As a celtic tiger kid I find myself in a contant state of wanting everything constantly.

I have a network adaptor too but conldn't be arsed using it "properly"

    Won't need a stepdown if I get a non 9000 series slim.

FMcB is memory card based, you don't need the HD adaptor (thats used for HD Loader which is completely seperate)

I'm all for import consoles if they offer something different, like RGB over composite, or Ltd Edition consoles etc etc...but when its the exact same thing thats just region locked, feck that.

Forgot to add I also got my unibios replacement today. Looks perfect this time, unlike the last one that had pins looking like yer wans hair off of confused.com.

    Cara_credit_card.jpg

Bit of Ibara followed by some unibios action tonight I think. :)

    1. Ibara [PS2, NTSC-J, CIB]

Nice! I was tempted by that myself but decided against it. :)

Kinda had to really. If you know the one I got (which I think you do) then you'll know it was nearly impossible to turn down. :)

Yep I do. Can't remem the exact price but compared to the silliness on ebay it was well worth it. I'm being a good boy with the finances lately.
Actually if you're able to burn a copy I could do with one, as a backup for my future purchase of the original ofc. Yep.

Dunno about that! Maybe for your Raiden PCB's in return! :D

    These arrived today.

    R·Type Final (new and sealed):

    dsc5644j.jpg

Nintendo DS Browser (DS Lite version):

    dsc5646c.jpg
    dsc5647.jpg

So some of you are probably thinking "Steve you mad fool, why u buy a browser".
A fair question to be sure.

The answer is simple, for the 8MB RAM pack that comes in the box with it.

    dsc5648a.jpg

This can be used with emulators and apps(that support it) that run on various flash carts like my Acekard 2i to improve performance.

The DS only has 4MB of ram so this brings it up to 12MB and it's an official expansion pack as well, not a dodgy Chinese version.
Officially only the Opera browser supports it but with a flash cart that all changes.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_Browser#DS_memory_expansion_pak

Of course the DSi has 16MB of ram already installed but I prefer the DS Lite myself so this will help boost it and future proof it a little for emulators and apps.
These carts are getting harder and harder to find so I thought now was the time to grab one

    Master of the Universe

Back in the days when I was a DS lunatic, I used an EZ Flash 3 in 1 as a slot 2 device. It acted as a RAM expansion, GBA game loader and rumble pack.

Just had a look and unfortunately Dealextreme doesn't stock them anymore. Worth getting your hands on if you can find one.

Yeah I was looking at them a while back.
You can get them for about 20 euro from different sites online.

I might grab one of them, just to have.

    Edit:
Got my mini sd card today for the GBA flash cart I got a few days back.
Works well on the GBA but I really want it for the GBA SP's I've coming in the post.

Gumshoe is one of the oddest lightgun games.
I far prefer Wild Gunman as my Zapper game of choice!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

Gumshoe on the C64 is one of my favourite games in the history of the entire world. Awesome game. Never played the NES version though.

@Adultappleflavouredbeveragemale: I'm still in shock with your Ibara statement! :D

I said feck it and just ordered one of those EZ Flash 3 in 1 cards.

Seems like a decent card to use with the DS alongside the acekard.
