My stupid friends want me to go out and watch the Irish match on Friday. Guys, its 11.11.11!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,215 ✭✭✭Kur4mA

I have it all sussed out. The missus has been warned well in advance of 11.11.11 but I did promise her a dinner out on Friday. I'm off work all day so the plan is to play Skyrim all day, meet the missus after she finishes work and then off to the nicest (closest) restaurant in the area.

A quick bite to eat, walk her to the bus stop which is on the way back to my apartment and then get back into Skyrim. :)

I'm the same. Plus I've a driving test on Friday afternoon, which if I pass I was planning on celebrating by playing Skyrim. And if I failed, I was going to drown my sorrows with a game of Skyrim. Now I've to go out an "socialise". This is what happens when none of your friends are gamers. :(

Middle of fighting the first dragon or epic quest....missus calls on phone ...."Oh...eh..yeah....on the way...bus is delayed....can we go out tomorrow actually ? Saturdays are always better"

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,566 ✭✭✭Funglegunk

A friend who I haven't seen in ages has invited me out to the pub to watch the match on Friday. No Skyrim till Saturday then. Perfect hangover cure perhaps?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

I saw we all go to the same pub, and while everyone else is watching the match, we discuss how different our Skyrim games have gone so far.

That's not too nerdy...is it? :pac:

the amount of people agreeing to go outside and meet people instead of playing skyrim makes me sad

Pffft, if I have to I'll break out all the stops and get her a cornetto on the way to the bus stop. Either way, she's not going near my place.
