Is Dub city centre flooded aswell, or is it just the outskirts?
Hasn't stopped raining here in Sligo in bout 4 days- I don't know how we're not flooded too. River looks a bit dodgy though.

The office next door mine got totally flooded last night which gave me a laugh because it gets flooded every time there is bad rain.Ehhh, flood prevention measures anyone?

There were some low lying spots in the city centre that flooded but most seems to have subsided now.. The outskirts suffered more it seems and some areas are still flooded.

Sure all will be forgotten this time next week. Heads firmly in sand(bags) just like the rest of the country.

Dang, didn't realise you were only on again for a short term with them. Would be rather hard to look for more work with the way the weather is keeping up now.

sorry, just saw this now. i had 6 months done, we kinda said another 3 months, the max it's meant to be is 9, so while he won't mention about my time being up, I'm not going to let him take the piss either. if he won't pay me a full wage, I shouldn't stay.

I agree, I didn't really think it was worth your while staying on when you did, but you seemed happy enough to.

Have you been looking around for other work much lately?

While hugely annoyed at the rain, and the stupid drainage system outside my house, which resulted in 3 feet of water!! Not even the jeep could get through it tbh, I'm actually in great form

Although I did nearly set the grill on fire....

I love when you go somewhere and find the nicest food

Last time I was in London I ate with friends in Franco Manca - Pizza place near where we stayed.

Can't wait to go back to it, quite simply the best Pizza I've ever had :)

I need students that are willing to learn and show extreme attention to detail (never toast the lettuce!). I trained my mother well, I expect the same from all other students :P

I wonder how many people will read that and think I'm serious? :pac:

I don't mean just toasting the lettuce. I mean preparing a full sandwich and toasting it. It's often nicer to toast the bread with meat and/or cheese and then add salad, sauce etc.

I would swap the pasta for a big steak sandwich and an ice cold beer.. apart from that, as long as its a real fire and not one of those fake gas things, its all good.. :D
