Here's a few plovers, gulls and Comorants at Mornington Beach, I got lost on purpose and headed for the coast then south towards Bull Island. Stopping at various coastal spots along the way, this is just one place I randomly stopped at, and had to ask a dog walker where the hell was I ?:D

Heres some frogs I filmed in February at Castle lake forest near Bailieborough, Thats a great place for a good walk around.

I'd the mic attached to an extendable pole and slid it in close to them to get fairly ok audio.

Back after a short absence - they weren't nesting in the hedge at the end of the garden this year, but they still know to come for food, it appears! I'm assuming it's one familiar with us, as the adult came hopping right up to the back door and the juvenile wasn't far behind it.

@whyulittle: The unidentified bird calling in the first video is a Blackcap. Throughout the video it is giving the commoner "teck" call, but occasionally you can also hear the "dju-teck" call. Usually the latter call-type is inserted in a long series of "teck" calls when the bird is alarmed or annoyed at something.

The "teck" call is quite distinctive (harder sound than Robin's "tic" call) and a good way of finding Blackcaps. The call quite frequently at dusk for some reason. On a sidenote, Robin and Blackbird also audible in the video

Yeah there were Robins, Blackbirds and a couple of Wrens about. Just couldn't place the Blackcap. The only time I've ever heard anything out of them would be in Spring/Summer at Boora.

Bees were my first thought in the nest box. But then again I wouldn't know a Birch Sawfly from a....eh....Bee!

I knocked on the box yesterday before opening, after seeing the cat's interest. Nothing came out. However, I neglected to do it today, and only AFTER I took a photo of the bees and the base of the box, I saw there was a Blue Tit huddled up in the corner. The box is above head height so I couldn't see what I was taking. Needless to say I'll leave alone now.
