$30 a week is fairly steep for a "GloboGym" . I pay €42 a month for a decent independent gym. I get a few nice bits and pieces for that too: 2 squat racks, deadlift platform, chains, gymnastic rings, glute ham raise (only one I've ever seen in a gym in Ireland or Canada) , liquid chalk free and a few other things.
I know its steep. It give me access to any of the branches of that gym. it was handy when I was using 2 or 3 different ones but might scale down now.

It's a decent gym though y globo standards. But is lacking chains, rings (has trx:rolleyes: but weights are decent.
I might get it down to $20 a week. Still expensive, but the weak euro amkes it look worse.

I'm back in ireland for a month at xmas, I'll be looking train at various places as a guest, something like the above would be perfect.

That place looks great. Is that where Chris Nolan teaches BJJ?

I don't think so. I think there's a BJJ club elsewhere in the town, possibly the community centre.

It's a brilliant gym alright, very lucky that the guy/guys who own it took a huge gamble and put a 2nd gym in a town like Balbriggan. Even luckier again that they actually care about equipping it properly and looking after their members. It's not as if we would have left if they hadn't bought gymnasitic rings, liquid chalk, kettlebells etc. , they make it a hell of a lot nicer place to train though.

At least you'll never lose your wallet now that it's attached to a massice length of chain, I assume.
