Sadly enough, people who are comfortable telling homeless people to **** off are not rare. Seen it plenty of times.

The guy I was talking about didn't tell the homeless man to fúck off. He made a joking comment about the situation and the homeless took it as that.

The c+ntometer is still in the red. Maybe it just needs new batteries.

Maybe, but just take my word for it instead, he is no c*unt.

A homeless person is more likely to get mugged than anyone else because the don't report it and are easy pray.
This would take to long to explain but some people go out at night and target homeless people.
If the police fine a homeless person with a weapon to defend them self then they are in big trouble but anyone else could have the weapon in their car and say I'm putting down some carpets lately.

Lets face what he said was c*ntish but he might not be a c*nt type person all round.
    Ok.

No one could say they could cope. Because no-one knows until it happens. Its just one of those things you hope to never experience.

As bad as it seems :( If the unfortunate happened. I'd rob a few people to try and get back on my feet. I know that's bad and all. But I see it as the only solution.

Lets be real, how many homeless people do you see getting interviews? or more importantly gaining a job.... None.
Imagine if you're in town without a penny in your pocket, no where to go, no so called "friend" is willing to help you out ... what you gonna do?

Cant even get the social welfare as they'll ask for an address.

    I'd be a **** homeless person. I wouldn't like begging.

More importantly, I'd have severe withdrawal symptoms from the internet.

    Ok.

Not ok, my point was that he was joking with the guy and they laughed about, nothing c*untish about it. At least he had a bit of banter unlike alot of people who would just ignore him or as mentioned tell him to f*uck off.

So if you were in town and some homeless person robbed you would think it was ok.?
I would kick 9 shades of **** out of you and you wouldn't want to live home or not.

Can you imagine asking a friend for money for food/rent and they refused and put a joke in there.
I get what you are saying but if the guy gave a euro and said "She is going ask me later why are we down a euro":)
He can then explain to her that he gets nothing for all the time and work he puts in and move out to live with his new homeless friend.

1, thats the difference between me and you i guess. If both of us were homeless. I know that bad things have to be done to get out of being homeless. You dont, or at least dont want to admit to having to do said bad things. Its wrong. I admit. But certain times in life you got to do wrong things.
2, i highly doubt you could fight your way out of a paper bag. No offense. But i find that 99% of the time "hard comments" on the net are complete BS. If you wanna disagree with what I say, thats different, but adding the whole "kick 9 shades of sh*t" just makes you come off as a keyboard warrior.

I was not talking about you as a person but you as a homeless person.
A homeless person in weak most likely.
You as a homeless person try to rob me well then or any one else tries to rob me then you a few **** will be kicked.
    Robbing people is not on.

    Bold above.
Some times it is mental issues that need to be looked at and with out that there is the problem the made them homeless.

I take back what I said above.

I know what you are saying. But not everyone who hits the streets has mental issues. Take a look at recession. Had to of made alot of people homeless.

Its kinda f***ed up Dodd. Like, one can abuse the social welfare system. Never have the intention of working. But get money to live and survive. But yet, a homeless person cant get the social. Because they dont have an "address" ... pssh.

Been there, Wore the T-Shirt !!

Well I tried it on for size !!!

The start of '99 was a turbulent one and one I won't repeat in a hurry, But I managed to stay on a friends couch for 1 week and in a room in a dive of a house with mad people for another week, There was days of trying to find a place to stay and yes it was so embarrassing but I wouldn't really describe myself as being homeless but I had a taste of it.

Also making my way to Kilburn weeks earlier when I drunkenly decided to thumb to Rosslare Harbour and catch a ferry then stayed for one night in the cold at the platform shelter at Kilburn High Road station was another taste of it, Got refused at Quax Road Hostel the next day as it was full but ended up in a top floor penthouse in Lexham Gardens courtesy of a cousin who got me a flight home from Luton. I was blessed.

Dodd I think you have some what of a naivety in this matter.
You say that its wrong to rob someone. I agree 110%. However, you cant understand or realize how someone would/could being homeless.

So the ultimate question has to be asked ... what would you do if you were homeless?

And by definition of homeless you aint got a penny to your name, no place to sleep and no friends to help you out. How would you get out of the gutter? ... if doing something as wrong as stealing is totally out of the question.

    ... are you serious?
THAT is your solution ... to kill yourself?!
Like, why try to get yourself out of it ... just accept thats it and kill yourself?

ok you are acting around. had me going there for a bit. you're either a troll or someone who completely has no clue to what they are talking about.

So how do you get you self out of it.
There is not much help it this country now.
I do know what I am talking about and know some homeless people.

I ask why would anyone want to live when they have no one to help them and no where to live.
It must say something about you as a person,So what is there to live for.?

Were you even reading my previous posts? :pac:

You steal. You rob. You take. You get what you can.
You do what ever it takes to get back on your feet. Life aint fair. And when you're homeless you ARE at rock bottom. So morals and ethics sadly go out the window. Its still wrong what you may do... but you gotta do what you have to.

Lets be honest, you need a job to get back on your feet (aka regular income) and you aint going to get no job sleeping on a door step. You aint gonna claim no social welfare too. So you gotta get some place. But to get some place you need money. Which money, you aint got or which no one will give to you ... hence steal.

You steal the money to get some pi*s ridden sh*t hole if you have to. Could only be a bed-sit. But its an address. Claim the social. Try and get a job. Perhaps continuing to steal as you try to get a job..... you get a job. Get back on your feet and close that chapter of your life and never look back.

After going to Birmingham in 1967 as an 18 year old I slept rough until I got a job and my first ever wage packet - about four weeks. Had spent most of my money and did not want to ring home - parents would freak, as I had told them that I was fixed up in a job and accomodation! Washed in public toilets and slept wherever was dry and quiet (mostly in the market place). Was reduced to eating four donuts (discount for four :)) and two portions of Egg Fried Rice a day, but it kept me going. Got a job and still lived rough until payday. A great experience ......... the impetuousity of youth, you can't beat it.

Cool story. I reckon most people could live rough if they had to, it's when you factor in drug, alcohol and mental problems that issues arise.

I'm perfectly confident that I would survive. It probably wouldn't be a pleasant experience but I think I could cope.
