Almost certain it's the Residence Office.

Yeah, think its the Bursar by way of the Rea Office, just drop in and twist their arm a bit.

Any music students want to help a brother out?

Working on an analysis assignment with a headache, a sore throat and a runny nose... If I'm in Bb major and I've got a chord with E natural, G natural, Bb and C natural, wtf am I doing? :pac:

Oh, the E natural is doubled too.

I would say II7, as in the first secondary dominant of Bb (C Major) would resolve to V (F). Depends on the context though; you might be doing some mad romantic harmonic move.

It's Schubert, Impromptu in Bb major. And it does resolve to F, then back to Bb in the next bar. Sound Rob!

Yeah it's probably V7b of V(being the dominant ie. F) resolving to I in F as a modulation.

    i'd say II7 too :)

    Feel better

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 912 ✭✭✭Norrdeth

But if it was II7b it would not occur in Bb Major unless there is a chromatic alteration(mostly present in minor keys),
V7b/V would indicate a modulatory gesture.
It's also quite though strange as the leading note is hardly ever doubled,
but I'm not that familiar with Schubert so I guess it could be common.

Chromatic alterations? In Schubert? Never :pac:

Saw Brendel play two Schubert Impromptus a few years ago. Blew the doors off the roof.

It's funny actually, was chatting to mate earlier who hadn't been able to get this out of his head for weeks and was slowly going mad:

Anyone know how to connect an android phone to the college wifi??

Yes, it works the same as any device,
Turn on Wifi (The first step people seem to miss),
    Settings -> Wireless and Networks
    Wi-Fi Settings
You should see a list of ssid's (Network Names in English)
    pick NUIMWireless
    let it connect,
open the browser, and go to somewhere (anywhere)
and you'll end up at the wi-fi login.

Has it got microwaves and hobs?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 912 ✭✭✭Norrdeth

Yeah several couches, and some really slow computers!
And fridge with Mi Wadi and a little kitchen with a kettle and all.
No hobs but there is a microwave.
    So Schound.

You taking some time off or leaving for good?

It takes a lot of guts to go to college, admit you got it wrong, and leave. Much respect there. Sorry to see you go

Now I'll never get my assignment done - I'm blaming you for emotional distress :pac:

Something like that. At this rate I'll still be doing this essay when you come back for your Masters

Good to see you're not abandoning things altogether though, so all the best in the future :)

I know your name. And I thought you were Jellybeans92, who has the same name, but then I saw her on boards, and got totally confused.
I'll just ask BuroniKiisu who you are!
    :)

It is so random that her and I have the exact same name! One of my friends calls me Jellybean too which makes it even more weird! God damn my mother for putting an extremely popular first name at the time, with an even more common surname :pac:
