Spurs/Arsenal the other week was highly entertaining.

From a United point of view

Steady enough at the back, glad to see Evra giving more of a **** than of late.
Jones doing alright in midfield, Giggs seems off the pace, some terrible passes from him so far. Young is being shown up I think, needs to start eating whatever Nani's been on the last few years. Apart from that, solid and happy enough so far.

Have to fancy Utd once nani and rooney come on.

That's the plan I'd say. Keep it tight for 60 mins and bring them on.

Hopefully Jones doesn't have to come off, would give us one less sub to make.

Hate to admit it but I think you are correct...

    ps: Awful game!

Rooney on for Jones maybe if the injury us bad. Probably be Anderson though and Nani for Young. Young has been very quiet so far and isn't in the game at all

Young has been pretty bad today.

He's not used to being the only attacking outlet from midfield. United are so defensively set up so far he's finding it difficult as there's rarely anyone ahead of him. With Rooney and/or Hernandez ahead of him in the 2nd half he'll be much better.

Yip,the vast majority of the matches involving the top 5 or 6 teams in England are cagey negative matches.

no but being on a yellow card and one of the best in the world coming on fresh as a daisy to occupy your position could be slightly troublesome for him.

Indeed, which is why I'm still unsure why he was booked and Skrtel wasn't as skittles foul was worse.

Cant agree with that, there are plenty of outlets, what he is not used to is the pressure being put on him. He's failed to make much of anything he's got.
He's being pushed off the ball, pretending to jump for headers, I think he has a long long way to go to make it as a united player.
It's in games like this that true character come through, he hasn't shown any so far.

Unless the match involves Arsenal, which guarantees a goal fest

I find they're becoming rather tiresome. Especially when you don't support any of them.

Rooney or Chico and hit them hard, or Nani and move Park inside.

To be honest if Lucas can keep the ball away from him for a couple of seconds he will end up sent off.

Passing from both teams has been fairly poor.

Liverpool probably edge the first half with the better chances, really should be 1-0 up.

Lucas mis-placing a lot of passes, could maybe do with coming off.

Giggs for united too - looks very off the boil.

Both teams have plenty on the bench, could be an interesting second half.

Think United will be the happier of the sides going down the tunnel. Not having their strongest team out and away at Anfield.

Hopefully we won't have conceded before we bring on Nani and Rooney.

Nah park isn't good enough cm to play against Liverpool IMO . Jones stays on :D

U think it's an exaggeration to say that Liverpool were a very defensive side under houllier and rafa?

It's not chips on a shoulder if you are simply calling something up for what it is. Liverpool have played so much defensive stuff and just picked off united as we go at them in so many of these games it hasn't been funny. For Liverpool fans to complain about united "parking the bus" for this game is gross hypocrisy.

If Nani or Rooney slot into centre midfield I'd be quite happy tbh. :p

Don't know, but it does remind me of the more boring type of Old Firm derbies - at least if you don't like either Celtic or Rangers.

Young should have thrown in a double twist there.
