Yes....on my Sky+ box.....you can play it back on RTE player if you don't have it recorded.

    HE SAID IT......................

The loan was for 20 K, 19 K has now been re-paid (according to him, there is some doubt about that, but we'll take him at his word). He disputed the re-payment because of the change of name of the company, all a bit dubious to say the least and it went to a legal process before it seems to have been resolved.

Anyway, thats not the point - it just seems a bit strange to me for such a "big entrepreneur" to have such an issue with 20K and to be quibbling over 1K.

Of course, it is somewhat understandable if you only earn 212 a week:D:D

The baldy head is on again now on RTE making yet another hames about his relationship with Fianna Fail :D:D. Has he not been briefed to get this straight:eek:

My point was not that I had a desire to debate your personal politics and specific views

Thats fine .. Though, you did ask me what my personal politics are.

The views of a former Taoiseach and a senior Civil Servant were the subject matters of the threads & I extensively referenced leading accademics in government and politics.
My point was more that I believe that FF ruined the country and you don't, and that we might stifle the op , so I was suggesting that another thread would be more suitable

    That is open to interpretation.

I don't believe that the policies that would have been pursued by alternative governments based on the political parties at the time and their election manifesto's would have been appreciably different.

That is not the same thing.

So if those guys question the political system and the social partnership why shouldn't I.

Would you ever stop deliberating missing the point:confused:?

I couldn't give a toss if he was the leader of FF for 50 years, nothing wrong with that. I've even voted FF on numerous occasions and have nothing against the organisation as such (notwithstanding their performance in the last two governments).

The issue is the LYING in this case. The original point of this thread. The answer is YES he did lie.

In terms of the state grant, the issue is not the details - and well you know it - the issue is why such a trouble over such a relatively small amount of money.

you need to know details of loan and repayment to know what the amount repaid means ,even if its small
in beginning of thread, yes he didn't answer questions but he did over last few days, even today on rte and radio and newspaper
do you think any of the other candidates are lying ?
    and
    who ?

I couldnt even be bothered arguing with the pro-Gallagher faction in this thread anymore. He has been well and truly found out now. His reputation is going down the tubes, just like his business - you know, the one that was only profitable for about 3 or 4 years because of a massive property bubble. He is a failed businessman FFer trying to spoof his way into the Presidency and he has been found out. His last few appearances on TV/radio speak for themselves, the general public know the score and its game over for FF and Sean Gallagher now, the ruse has failed - just like his business.

He made a big mistake even running for the Presidency because now he has been completely exposed as a FFer with a mediocre track record in business his professional spoofing gig, giving speeches on how to create successful businesses when he couldnt even manage that himself, is finished.

Maybe we might see Gallagher appearing on the Dragon's Den in the near future as the guy looking for funding as opposed to the Dragon. Although I dont see any of the other Dragon's giving him any money now that everyone knows he has a useless track record in business and ended up in court over a 20K debt that he settled for 19K - LMFAO!!

I couldnt even be bothered arguing with the pro-Gallagher faction in this thread anymore.

Its not a pro Gallagher faction on the thread but a Neutral
    Faction
    questioning the Anti SG Faction

    There is a huge difference.

I do not know if its nesscessary to be a supporter of FF to be guilty you have to be Anti FF and SG to be exonerated.

I believe everyone has the right to support who they like without being made felt guilty of but i don't believe in people who support a party to try and force there party views on others,

This 6:01 interview reminds me of Brian Lenihan's "mature recollection".
He is a slippery one alright.

Well done Brian Dobson for grilling him on Daragh Callearly , but notice how he didn't actually answer the question

Dobson also asked him if the information he initially gave regarding that he left FF in 2009 was incorrect. He didnt answer that either.....he waffled on

I don't believe any word he says

    FFer!

He's Fianna Fail ... it goes with the territory have we all forgotten our Minister for Justice (lol) standing on the steps and telling us the IMF were not in the country and there were no negotiations ongoing about bail outs a few hours later there was the unmistakeable rumble of the pin stripe Sherman tanks heading down Kildare Street.

Now I'm not one to judge but if someone I knew to be a member of Fianna Fail even just briefly back say in 1934 told me the sky was blue I would go and check just to be sure

That is a very sweeping way of judging people.

I prefer to judge people on what they say as an individual rather than single them out for an association that they have had in the past.

Would you heck as like so why give a job to someone you know to have been involved with the Soldiers of Fortune or as they like to be known the Soldiers of Destiny

I don't mind you asking at all

I don't remember giving Fianna Fail first or second preference in any election
Far too dishonest for my liking.
    Same for Sinn Fein.
