Do you know what is just as bad ..! People accepting free drinks off you when you are hammered, its the same as lifting them behind your back if you ask me.. :(

A lad I play football with was having a bad night of it on a night out a while back. Everytime he'd get a drink it would disappear after a while. Stupid enough of him to keep leaving it in the same spot we thought. Next morning he told us he p1ssed into an empty glass and left it in his usual spot and that got taken too. He had no drink go missing then for the rest of the night.

i know someone who did that as well, serves the robbin basterds right.
pity i didn't see it being lifted and drank by the culprit

its prob times like this i shouldn't mention i tend to do leggers on taxi drivers quite a bit.
i do think thats bad tho nicking a drink off some chump tho...its just part of the game.

me and my mate call this thing pulling hour, were we go round trying to 'pull' as many free drinks and moths(we let the standards drop a bit for the pulling hour) in 1 hour

In the George in Limerick years ago. See this shít faced guy come upstairs looking a little shifty. He edges over to a low table where there are a load of glasses and without turning around picks one up and holds it as if it was his. Waits a bit to see if anybody challenges him (a real pro) before chugging it back.

He barely registered that he'd picked up a glass with a candle in it and pored hot wax over his face before moving on.

    Crazy kids ....

Seeing as how all of you are up on your high horses and all, I know you have thought of the
poor bar staff that have to clean puke, urine etc. out of glasses at the end of an already very long night because you have decided to play silly b*stards just bcause you can't keep it together enough to keep an eye on a glass of liquid.

Of course you have. Silly me.

thats not the point here....im not been blunt but cleaning up is part of bar staff duties...although people shouldnt drink to the point of getting sick but i do feel sorry to the people who clean that up

on a night out a few years ago with some mates we were all out the front of the pub smoking. As we went back inside we all lifted our drinks and went back down stairs to the dancefloor. As i took a mouthful of my drink I realised that it wasnt my drink but didnt pass much remarks as I had a vodka&coke and the drink i accidenty lifted was JD&coke, so didnt bother going back upstairs to find my drink as i assumed the person whose drink i took had taken mine.
the next thing i know is im at home the next morning and i remember absolutely nothing, complete blackout. but i had only 4 pints before i moved onto the vodka....
so went to the doctor the next day as i was worried about the black out, thinking it was a brain problem or something and told him what the story was, did a piss test/blood test and thats right found traces or rohypnol.
so when i lifted the wrong drink i inadvertently possible saved some poor girl from a raping

No actually cleaning blood and puke out of a pint glass is NOt part of barstaff duties. Yes Peple get ill in bars, fine, I accept that. What you have been talking about and condoning is deliberately destroying the place.

Right so bars end up having to throw away and replace loads of glasses through people acting like idiots left out of a creche for the night? Where do you think the money for that is going to come from?

Breaking news!!! Companies generally only supply them at the time of promotions which are becoming few and far between. Plus even if what you were saying were to be rue how could they keep up with the demand if everyone were to start doing what you were suggesting?

Well actually this is another aspect of your topic and follows on from some actions that you and other posters suggested earlier.

Look, it has always been this way in clubs as clubs generally tend to be full of people who are absolutely tanked having been in the pub for the whole night. If it is becoming a problem for you, either stay at home, go home after the pub, or if your drink really means that much to you keep a better eye on it.
