why would you leave precious alcohol unattended

This happened to me the two times I went out in Balbriggan. I was fairly pissed off about this the second time, and fairly scaldy, so I said "Shur feck it" and grabbed a random jacket from the cloakroom.

If the guy I stole it from needed one, he could also have taken one.
It's the circle of life, or something.
You almost make stealing seem like the right thing to do. Almost.

See that club in the Dinn-rì? 3 of us wandered in to that section when it was not open, fleeced the fridges and promptly left

got picked up by cops halfway home :(

court hassle for unintentional, irresistable theft

I take offense to that. :p

I've had a few drinks stolen from me at various clubs/parties. Really is one of the most irritating things a person can do. I dont think I could bring myself to do the same though, I know how f*cking annoying it is.

WhatsnNearly as bad is the glass collectors usually foreign who take your pint away when there is still a few mouthfuls in it. Usually because they are bored silly walking around.

Sometimes you see people leave full pints unattened for quite a long time, wouldn't blame someone who just decided to take it.

If you really need to leave your drink, ask your friend to mind it or something, that's if they don't decide to drink it themselves :pac:

I had it done to me a few times, rarely now as I never leave my drink anywhere, someone could easily spike it, let alone steal it.

And the people who piss into glasses, bottles etc are as much of a scumbag as the people who rob the drinks.

In college in Galway and I always steal drinks on nights out! It's far too easy sometimes! Often swipe a jacket or two and maybe a bike for the way home if its raining (but not as much as i used to). I know I'm being a cnut, maybe it's because i'v never had a drink stolen on me is why i couldn't actually give a flying fart! It doesn't actually make sense to me to pay ridiculous prices for watered down drinks when they are so readily available..supply and demand and all that! I'm not even trolling in the slightest here, it just makes economic sense for me! ha

    True story:

A friend of mine put a pint of Guinness down in a bar and one of our mates took a dump in it. He told my friend but he still insisted on drinking the pint. He got mental ill and had to go to hospital and ended up missing a year of college he was so sick

How is that relevant in a thread about stealing drinks ?? Absolute muck!

In my college days around 5 year's ago myself and a mate did something referred to above. We were sick of people robbing our drinks in clubs. A bottle of miller was filled up with .... We then planted the bottle for someone to rob. It was brilliant! A fella was chatting up a girl and then took a big swing from what he thought was a nice full bottle of miller! We never laughed so much. He got what he deserved. I'm sure this fella never robbed a drink again in a club and learned a lesson

Not even nearly as likely, though. All the medical evidence suggests that drink spiking is actually very rare - in the vast majority of purported cases, the alleged victim is just pissed.

You know drinks are expensive and steal these valuable items. It doesn't need to happen to you to have empathy, what else do you steal? iphones? they're pricey and if you never bought one you can't have had one stolen.

And why are people bothering to spike it with piss? that can be tricky to do, have to find cover or go to the toilet. In future just bring out a small vial/wrap of caustic soda with you if you want to teach them a lesson.

Even pissed I'd never do it for one main reason, you have no idea who was drinking out of it before you. You have no idea what disease, germs, (even saw blood on the lip of a glass once) you're drinking.

Done it a few times and had it done to me many times. It is scummy behaviour but sometimes you have to be grimey.

Theres nothing better than stealing someones drink you find in a pub.

    mmmmmm someoneelses :D

Sticking your loaf into some cheap, dirtbag bastard who thought he/she was more deserving of your drink than you.

I don't really understand how people get their drinks stolen. If you're stupid enough to leave your drink unattended, you deserve to have it stolen imo. If you want to go for a dance or to the toilet either finish your drink first or bring it with you.

Even worse though are the people who leave their bags or jackets down somewhere, leave all their valuables inside and then feck off to another part of the pub for the night. They're then shocked when they come back a few hours later and their wallet/phone has been stolen. Seriously, what do you expect to happen in a room packed full of drunk people?

I was out in town on Friday night at a gig, sitting down at a table, pint in front of me, friend beside me, pint in front of her. Random bloke I'd never met just boogies on over and mid dance move grabbed my pint and brought it up to his lips. I grabbed it back off him and declared angrily "THAT'S MY ****IN PINT!" and placed it back down in front of me. He then reached over and grabbed my friend's pint instead.

    Wtf?

Wanted to throw it in his face after that but that would be a waste of alcohol.
