Hey, can anyone shed some light on the points in a baked potato? In the purple pocket guide it says to go to pg 49 to see about baked potatoes where it then says they're more points but if you're baking a potato at home to refer to the raw weights on pg 25...so how do you point them?! Is it 6 points for a 150g baked potato or 3 as per the raw weight? I'm so confused and I just want to eat!

I always point the raw weight. its roughly 1pp per 50g raw weight

then after college i had to weight around town a few hours for eye test....ended up having a bit of pub grub with the girls!

Then the jaffa cakes! Oh kriky!

Just checking in to say I'm not after falling off the wagon! Less than 2 stone from goal now but have a feeling it's gonna take me longer to shed this weight than it has been to lose the 5 stone I've already lost! Body is clinging on to the weight and it's coming off soooo slowly, but not giving up!

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here in a few weeks, but have just spent the evening reading up on all the posts I have missed. Went to my meeting last week (after an absence of 2 weeks & no tracking, so decided to get back on track) and was up 1.5lbs. I was pleasantly surprised & had expected more, but this put me back up at 5lbs over goal & any more gains would mean I would have to pay. I asked my leader for my 50lb certificate (she didn't have any with her the last meeting) as I really wanted it. She managed to spell my name wrong on it, but it spurred me back to tracking & all was well until the weekend - 3 nights out in a row. So this week I skipped my WI, but am totally back on track. Hopefully next week, it'll be good news on the scales.

I have booked a city break to Barcelona for myself & my husband the last week in Oct (first time leaving the kids since one night away 3 1/2 yrs ago:eek:), so I am determined to chip away at the extra 5lbs before we go away.

Aaarrrrgggghhhh!!! I HATE myself - had been going great guns since weigh-in on Tuesday and then my resolve weakened today - stopped off in McDonald's on my way home from work with my son and pigged out on a Quarter pounder with cheese and fries - what is wrong with me????

I wouldn't mind, but I had planned on saving my weeklies for Saturday night - I'm predicting bad news next Tuesday at weigh-in :(

Hey Ditsy! Dont say you hate yourself  Just put it down to a bad choice. We all make them no one is perfect, I've made oodles. Next time you are stuck with McDonalds as the only option maybe get the wrap. I'm going to be really annoying a pull a stunt my leader does....Don't let one bad day ruin 7. 1 meal out of 21 that wasn't good shouldn't ruin your week! Was Sat night a night out or just a treat night? Can you pull back a bit now after the McD drama to make up for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 Ditsy Dotsy

Thanks MaggieMay for the kind support - I know, it was just one hiccup in the week and I won't let it ruin the week for me. I'm just so disgusted with myself - I wasn't even hungry going in there, I had it eaten before I knew it (mind you, it was the most delicious thing I've eaten in two weeks :o)

Going out for dinner for a friend's birthday on saturday (and most likely plenty of drinking!!!) Think I'll snack all day on soup and hopefully just order a main course - I may be able to redeem myself ;)

    Defo Ditsy,

Extra couple of walks, fruit for breakfast, soup/salad for lunch and then if your out for the night dance your behind off! You should be grand...

I'm loving the eating before you knew it. Sure it's Mickey D's it's gone in three mouthfuls and then your hungry again an hour later!!

Best thing to do is point the nutritional information on the pack. Tesco online is giving me 9PP for these scones. They are the Tesco Finest fruit scones. Scones PP can vary hugely because of the size of them and what they are made with.

Edit: You might have to register with Tesco to see that link.

I would say they are 85g. 20 odd grams would be TINY!

Unfortunatly, in my experience, your feeling is correct! I'm in the same boat as you. I've lost 9st and its the last couple of stones/lbs that are the killer! I got to within 1.5lbs of my goal weight last christmas and I still haven't reached goal. I was still 1.5lb away at the beginning of summer and now, after a summer of no routine, bbq's, holidays and cruising I have 19lbs left to go.
I feel sometimes like my body said no! That's it I've given you enought and you can't have anymore. What can you do?? You have to keep on going but sometimes I feel like I think about little else. I decided to take a break from WW for a few weeks and see if I could go it alone, (for financial reasons!) my wi last week I was down 4lbs so maybe it will come off at easy as it went on???:o

Best of luck with the last 2stone, as I said above its not easy but its worth it!:)

Hugh Home Made scones & chocolate brownies in office today.
It's unreal how many people have dropped by my desk to say 'you better
    hurry up, they're nearly gone!'

They looked fantastic but I said no thanks and had my apple and banana instead! :D

I use the Irish at home system now. Post in my entry every week and use this forum for hints, advice and support. Have slipped pretty badly the last couple of months though so maybe online would boost things too. Need some sort of boost!!

Well done on all the losses! Some great numbers there. I took a sneaky WI this morning and it seems my 3.5lb gain is gone :) I've been really good the last 2 days. I even allowed myself a treat last night but used some of my weeklies for it. I've done the Davina dvd the last 2 days and it's definitely making a difference.

On the scone topic, if you do buy them I would weigh each one individually even if the packet say one is 55g. From experience they can vary so much in weight. And remember to point what you put on it as well :)
