I think the way things work is new threads are created so posters on the first few pages can give their views before anyone else. It goes round in circles, it's the same threads over and over again.

Like the thread "What's your weight" was closed because it was an old thread, but the topic never changes so I don't see how it's old? It's not like a news topic on a certain day. If the same thread was opened as a new one than the thanks whorers would be able to get in, where as in an old thread not many people read it as much.
