    2 hours is too long.

half an hour max. anything longer affects your sleep at night

I love having them on weekends. Employers should allow employees to have afternoon naps. They're good for you. It's science.

I often fall asleep on the bus on the way home from work, not very restful. always feel tired enough to nap, but yeah I try not to in case it affects my sleep at night.

Yes, yes I can, quite well thank you :D;)

I nap occasionally when I am tired from chasing my toddler around, and being up from 6am to about 12 midnight can be exhausting some days.

Always feel like shit every time I wake up from a nap. Im worse off after it. I find it easier to just stay awake and go to sleep earlier that night

I occasionally have a half an hour nap after a long day to recharge my batteries before the evening but I usually find I'll have a cup of coffee late afternoon which usually does the trick instead.

Although I am slightly jealous the way me Grandma does it who says "I'm just gonna put my head down for an hour so don't call me between 1 and half 3"

Yep! Might have something to do with me most often only sleeping 4-6 hours per night, but that's beside the point.

This reminds me of a study I read about which indicated that some people's natural sleep patterns made them more suited not to one long period of sleep, but two smaller periods. Apparently some people who don't function so well in the morning might be like this, and forcing themselves to adapt to this 'norm' is detrimental to their health.

If you wake up groggy from a nap then you know you probably slept too long. Or you might be getting sick. :(

Pretty much everyday for about an hour. On workdays its usually an evening nap after the gym.

Sometimes on my day off I might have a mid morning nap.

I don't understand how people can make it through the day awake.

Many people work nights, or as a waitress I often had shifts from 6-2 and the from 6-midnight, you better believe I napped from 3-5.

Also being unemployed causes depression, depression often leads to a lack of energy and in turn leads to napping.

yeah, i get more than 8 hours sleep every night and could still sleep before and after work. don't get why people insist you only need 8 hours, it varies between people.

No, I can't nap. I can never actually get into a deep sleep unless it's night time. And besides, it's sort of girlie really to need a nap isn't it?
