Best pairing for the next few games?

    smalling and suarez

    de laet and aguero

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

Should have picked Aguero instead of Rooney. Suarez, you useless twat!!

My greatest downfall is sticking with a player thats had a good GW for me.

Now where's that Aguero bandwagon gone to, I wanna hop on!

    EDIT

and there goes Boswinga's clean sheet on 90+1, FFS

N'Zogbia failing again. Didn't want to dump him this week, because they have Newcastle, QPR and Wigan in the next 3 games, but not sure how much disappointment and money loss I can take...

Fact, buy I would like some of that luck.

Bosingwa cleansheet gone and he picked up a yellow card at some point to further infuriate me :p . On the plus side Meireles got an assist, swapped him in last night as decent value given the dearth of options in that price range this season.

20 points from 8 players including RVP as captain. Thats me out of the Boards.ie top 100 and knocked off the top in my paid league.

Luck plays a part, but it's certainly not all luck.

Captain Aguero is saving my day so far - 28 points, while Mignolet, Enrique, Bosingwa, Arteta and Suarez get a combined 8 points.

How many people must be frustrated about Dzeko. and aguero was one of the most transferred out players this week

    had a ****e day. 18 points from 5

I stuck with aguero and it paid off...

It's just a pity he's my vice captain as opposed to captain.

    We'll see how Rooney goes.

Hopefully a big performance from Young and Roney

What to do about the Manchester city question?

They are going to get goals and lots of them, but who do you pick? Dzeko scores four and gets rested. Aguero will score buckets, but he will also spend plenty of time on the bench. Do you spend 11m on him only to have him miss games, or leave him out only for your nemesis to have him as captain the week he hits five goals?

Long term you cant be transferring the likes of Aguero in and out to suit the fixtures, you have to stick or twist. But do you have him or Dzeko? You have to have Rooney imo or you will be left behind, but can you afford a city player who might not play?

Apart from Silva, what City player do you go for?

    Same here:

    GW1: 45
    GW2: 41
    GW3: 40
GW4: 27 + Rooney, DeLaet, R.Taylor. May struggle to reach 40 if Rooney fails to deliver, and I don't want him to go mad because lots of people have him captain.

I am like you, I have Silva and Rooney, I wont be taking a risk on which Man C stiker is likely to start, I had RVP as capt again today, nothing from him. He should come good but he is only getting two more weeks.

Aguero and Silva are the way to go.

It may seem like it's easy for me to say that in hindsight, but I was having arguments with a bunch of people on here earlier in the week, trying to convince them Dzeko was a bad idea and Aguero was the man, simply because Aguero is phenomenal and Dzeko has had 2 good games in about 15 at City. Aquero just a small step down from Messi and Ronaldo, and he might just reach their heights from the looks of things this season.

This week, I put my money where my mouth was and only made one change; brought in Aguero. I didn't have him in the first 3 games simply because I was waiting for him to get match practice. He got it, and now look at him!

Yes, there will be rotation at City... but Mancini wants the title this season, and Aguero will be his key to getting it. Tevez, Dzeko and Nasri are the ones who will suffer most from rotation.

And on the "Manchester Dilemma", I think the key to doing well this season is simple. Have 6 players in your team from both Manchester clubs, and over the space of a season, you will be significantly better than those who don't.

50 pts with Rooney, Young, A Hughes, Tiote, and Smalling (starts on bench) to play.
