She has a very classic look, I've seen her compared to Marilyn Monroe before, never in this way though which is amazing!

I hadn't really considered her style before, but now that you say it, it isss a classic look, innit. There's a really subtle sense of elegance surrounding her... or something like that..! :P

All of those pictures are really cool. And he's matched each pair perfectly! :)

This may have been posted before, but I just stumbled upon it, so it's worth linking again! :) Some of the pictures are mind-boggling, or at least they are to me.

    So cute:

Edit: Link changed, here's what it said anyway
In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.

That doesn't appear to be working properly for me. :/ It opens a f*ck load of mini windows but I have to click on each one individually to get it running and only 2 will run at a time...

    On chrome btw.

Thats kinda the point, just leave it run through and you'll see what its supposed to do :)

I got to the end of the song and it hadn't done anything really. I got up bits and pieces of it, but never all of it together.

    This is really nice!

I was born deaf and 8 weeks ago I received a hearing implant. This is the video of them turning it on and me hearing myself for the first time

what I always found suspicious about that video is how she had an American accent and spoke naturally. If you've ever heard a deaf person speak it doesn't have a clear accent and sounds are muffled or distorted.

Apologises in advance for being harsh, but that is actually rather ignorant. It is possible for deaf people to speak clearly; I use to go to group speech and language therapy sessions when was I was younger, several of the kids there were deaf and in the process of learning to speak. With enough coaching and practise it is very possible for them to speak "normally".

What about the clearly American accent and tone of voice though? I'm not knowledgeable enough to make a sound judgement on this but it just struck me as odd.

I'm intrigued...when the other woman says "Can you hear me?" she isn't looking up at her (not lipreading) but she still understands. How does she know how sounds correspond to words? Sorry if its really obvious but I'm trying to figure out how she recognises spoken words...

Well in this case it was never stated whether the women was fully deaf, only that she'd never heard her own voice. She could have had some residual hearing and used hearing aids for most of her life, which I guess would like hearing the world through a set of ear plugs as opposed to total silence.
