I would have the TV connected to my desktop. But I have the TV now since 2 years and haven't paid a licence because I never used it to watch TV. Did I do something illegal?

No, you've done nothing wrong. Unless you're receiving a signal to actually watch TV, then you don't need a licence. For instance, my school had about 15 TVs, but no licence, since they were only used for videos and DVDs.
No signal = no licence :)

If the television is capable of receiving a signal, you need a tv license. Apparently :p

I just decided that I'll just take my laptop and leave the other stuff at home. Don't need a cramped room!:D

I wouldn't want to recommend you do anything illegal, if you catch my drift. If you have equipment capable of receiving a TV signal you need a licence. However, I'm not going to recommend you just bring the TV and pretend you don't have one if the licence inspector asks, because that would be illegal :p

If someone in apartment 80.06 can bring an xbox, a widescreen TV and fifa 12 that would be great :D

I guess I'll just not take the TV then. It would have been great though playing games or watching movies with other roommates.

Make sure you have a small sewing kit with safety pins. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that don't think to bring one, and you usually need it when you don't have time to go out and buy it.

If you're bringing an amp make sure you max out the gain and the bass so the sound resonates through the whole building.

Imagine if he plays some dub step. (:

Total entropy always increases so it's pointless trying to impose order on your room as it will always revert back to disorder given time as it's not an isolated system. It's just a nerdy way of saying it will get cluttered and messy again so why bother tidying it up.:D

Hahahahaha, haven't heard one if these in ages. Keep them coming.

People usually only stay in Halls for the one year, you can still apply to stay in subsequent years but for the most part only JF students get assigned places. I applied to stay there with a friend in our second (SF) year and we were lucky enough to get in though, so if you really like it there it's not impossible to go back!

I can make dubstep using my bass guitar and one of my effects pedals, which will be coming with me. ;)

The six string is really hard to get strings for, I have to order them from abroad.

My hands are actually pretty small, it's hard to reach the low B string with my pink after the 12th fret :P

Same, but I tend to choose my music based on the quality of the basslines. My favourite bands are Nine Inch Nails, The Used, Dir en Grey and Muse. Then loooooads of other crap.

Have you heard of Maximum the Hormone? Best japanese metal around in my opinion. Really good bass player, kinda like a more intense Flea
