he needed it. i said he needed 4 players at least, he has got 5.

arsenal need them all to bed in quickly.

Arteta and Benayon will fall into place easily which is a great start and gives them more creativity and stability in the middle. They're two top drawer Premier League signings for me.

He came off the bench for Sunderland and after being fit again and dropped against Arsenal he gave Kenny the finger after he created a goal. He was fully fit. I hope he gets his move and Dalgleish learns his lesson about treating a top class player like crap again.

SSN: A fee has been agreed :D

He didn't give the finger to Kenny. Where you read that?

They're both prone to injury as well though, they won't last long at Arsenal.

some clown just said it on lfc tv so he probably heard it there. The presenter quickly squashed that rumour too

Sorry ive read up on it and he was giving the finger elsewhere, i was wrong. I still believe that he was right to move after being dropped. Liverpool should have moved mountains for him.

Great stuff out of Wenger over the last couple of days.

He had to poop or get off the pot. The departures of Nasri and Fabregas coupled with the defeat to United at the weekend meant that he had to act.

Well Gerrard has hardly played under Dalglish and is due back after the break. People forget Liverpool have had 6 months with basically no Gerrard.

If his head has been turned, let him go. I'm sure Agger and Carra will remind him of what he missed when we play Chelsea next, just like Torres!

He wasn't dropped. It's rotation. We beat Bolton easily after all.

His head was turned by bad management not by another team. Im sure Carragher will try kick him when they play again and give away his usual peno or red card rewarding mistake per match. And IMO Liverpool are much better without Gerrard. Liverpool have been playing as a great team and have been playing great football in his absence. When he returns, hollywood passes and no ball possesion will return.

QPR seem to have done the best out of this transfer window bought in some decent players ,players with good experience of the EPL and I reckon they have a good shout of staying up now.

The first day was such an appalling vista, it was clear that something needed to be done. Prior to the season I felt that the signings of Dyer, Gabbidon and Bothroyd were simply not enough, and early doors it has looked that way.

The signings of Barton, Punchon, SWP, Traore, Luke Young, and Ferdinand will provide a huge boost to the club. It has also been mentioned that deals for Ridgewell and Macheda may be done.

It was the takeover that changed things, not the 4-0.

    True.

But it was made clear that remedial action was required as a result of the magnitude of the defeat.

I still expect QPR to be in the relegation battle but think they have done good business and look like they will have enough to stay up.Need the new signing to settle quickly but have bought well imo.

Overall, I'm very happy with the signings made since Fernandes and Bhatia took over.

Would have liked to seen Crouch back in hoops as well, but, hey, you can't have everything!

Spurs get £18 million for Palacios and Crouch.

Daniel Levy has earned his bonus this year.

As bad and all as they may be, it's after leaving Spurs very light this season.

They wanted to sell them, so Harry is obviously happy enough with his squad.

Adebayor, Pavlyuchenko and Defoe up front. VDV playing off the front

Parker, Sandro, Huddlestone, Modric, Pienaar, Kranjkar in the middle.

    They are fine.

Highlight of the day had to be the Stoke fans behind the camera.

SSN Reporter: "and the crowd here are ecstatic at the news of Peter Crouch's signing"

Crowd are in silence, not so much as a cheer, two lads shaking their heads one clearly seen saying to the other "he's s**t"

As much as I hate his antics, Rovers could do with experienced players and shouldn't have let him go.

It was even funnier when the reporter asked Scott Dann outside Ewood if he had respect for Steve Kean and the supporters started laughing.
