I had very few issues with it even before it was patched, the odd freeze but if you have played FO3 you know by now to enable auto save on fast travel and when you use a door and to manually save rotating at least 3 save files every now and then.

I was on xbox though. And I cleared the cache every 2nd day too.

Latest word on 4th DLC and extras

    http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/08/25/lonesome-road-coming-september-20th-couriers-stash-and-gun-runners-arsenal-one-week-later/
The Courier’s journey ends this September.

We’re excited to share that Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for Fallout: New Vegas, will be available for download on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network and Steam on September 20th.

In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. Ulysses promises the answer as to why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. It’s up to you whether you take the job or not.

    But wait! There’s more!!

Today we’re also announcing two additional DLC packs, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.

Courier’s Stash (Xbox LIVE for 160 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $1.99) gives players immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas. The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack each offer unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages that will help you throughout your journey.

Gun Runners’ Arsenal (Xbox LIVE for 320 Microsoft points, PlayStation Network and Steam for $3.99) increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes waiting to be uncovered in the vast Mojave Wasteland. Check out a sampling in the screenshots below…

They should have issued the weapons packs when the game was released, would have been more useful to me then.

Can't find the link I want now #curses but the Ulysses character in the DLC was cut from the final version of the main game, as discovered frm the pc versions code if I recall.

I have no interest in buying these DLC packs right now. Why would I, like you said, when you can buy the GOTY edition with all the bells and whistles for cheap down the line. After being kinda burned with the Fallout 3 ones (since I bought them at full price off of GFWL, I wont be buying these at full price at all at all.

I just bought the regular version then borrowed the GOTY edition from a friend and installed it to my HDD and got all DLC for fallout 3 for free

And that worked? I presume that's on the Xbox360. Wouldnt work like that with Games for Windows Live on PC.

Just finished Fallout 3 and am working my way through some of the DLC I picked up while it was on sale. How does New Vegas compare? I think I'm going to have to grab it next.

I just downloaded it on my gaming rig, New Vegas too.

Poorly for the most part, mind you the Fallout 3 stuff was only marginally better . It doesn't extend the game past it's end like in FO:3 .

Old world blues is pretty good though, especially if you have not got very far in the game, as the loot is decent and the location can be accessed after you finish it, unlike the other stuff making it THE base of operations to use at level 15 or so.

Either way the DLC is most useful to you before you finish the game, as part of the journey. Making a GOTY version the best way to play the game.

I'm going to start a new game eventually ..... when I have another 120 or so hours to spare :D

Played a good 15 hours or so of the game. Pretty much fallout 3 all over again, no bad thing mind. I'm just doing a good bit of side work for the ncr and in terms of the main quest, I'm after passing boulder city now and on the way to the strip.

The Caeser's army crowd are very tough. Thank god for the NCR radio and My companion Boone! :)

No major freezes yet thankfully, i'm doing a lot of saving so it shouldn't be too much of an issue anyway.

I don't think i'll bother with the DLC unless the GOTY edition works with my saves now. IT didn't for fallout 3 so I'd be expecting the same here again.

Im at around the same location in the game, but have become hated by the NCR after killing them all with the wepon at the station before Boulder
city. Have I messed up by becoming hated or will I start again to lose this rep.

I'd say it'll be tough to gain back rep with them when you can't really talk to them

If you're as early in the game as I think you are, you'll be given a "get out of jail free card" soon enough...

Like NV alot more than F3 anyway, the map is just....there is some type of big sidequest in every part of it. I play for about 30 hours now and still haven't been into Vegas. Love the faction system as well. Except everyone hates me besides the Brotherhood.

Hey guys I have a question.

Long story short I did Dead Money and can't get back out of the bunker.
It says I don't have the key.

EDIT: Save deleting the whole post I'll just delete the extended details and add I found by deleting the game without Dead Money loaded I could leave, but I've lost all loot(I got out with the 37 pieces of Gold :( ) amd the whole thing is coming up as a new quest :(...least I can motor on and I think my level up has remained

I'm assuming you can't get into the elevator to get out of the bunker? It's been a while since I did it, but I think there was something about having the security system either on or off before the elevator would work. That said I would assume that having dealt with
    Father Elijah
one way or another would flag that you were ready to leave. There's no related bugs listed on the Fallout Wiki either.

Finished Old World Blues last night. It's excellent, the dialogue is superb. On par with Broken Steel as far as DLC goes, considered Honest Hearts and Dead Money to be extremely poor.

Here here, lets hope Lonesome Road finishes it off with a bang. One of my favourite aspects of OWB was they way it was linked superbly to the main game (via Ulysses) and Dead Money.

Is the only way to (legally) get the DLC to pay €10 a go on Steam? Way too expensive imo, would end up spending more than I did on the game itself.

No this was back in the bunker where you entered before leaving for the DLC.
The exit to the wastelands was locked, I had to remove the DLC.... I lost a good few decent guns which I entered with, all loot from the DLC but managed to keep my level rank.

I got out anyway so it's all good, wasn't starting a 3rd time after putting 40 hours in to get that far.

Anyone play Lonesome road? Didn't even realise it was out. Just downloaded now, not leaving the room until it's done. If its anywhere near as good as Old World Blues then I'll be a very happy man.

i admit it, it looks prety damn good.

    so is it worth it?

Really hope it's better than old world blues, I just couldn't get into it :(

Really   I thought it was one of the best DLC even counting Fallout 3, the loot and rewards for playing it were excellent, as were the characters.

It would really pay off if you played it as early as possible on a new character.

Downloaded the new one but GOW3 has been keeping me busy.

Great site for mods, recommend "A World of Pain", "Nevada Skies", "Weapon Mods Expanded" but up to you what you want to change.
