I hate cats to be honest. Poncy, sly and emotionless.

Dogs on the other hand will love you as much as you love them, and they'll show it.

    Dogs >> cats

Sad story, a few dog stories like this have brought a tear to my eye, like the dog staying with the injured dog in japan.

The dog in this case was a german shepherd, far too effecient not to eat the corpses, it makes perfect sense.

    Dogs are definately > Cats

    1. Dogs are HIGHLY intelligent. There is a bond between them and (very kind) owners. He may not have understood the funeral, but he knew where to find his owner and friend.
I'm not denying that dogs can be intelligent in their own way, but they are not intelligent in a human way. The anthropomorphic implication that the dog understood what was happening at the funeral is both foolish and naive.
    2. Regarding your Darwin comment, well, just spare a thought - for one instant - that such drivel could not be posted were it not for this man, and thousands like him, who fought to present people like you with the freedoms you now enjoy - such as this message board.
That comment has already been given the ridiculing it deserves.

If I could only add one suggestion, it would be that you keep yourselves more abreast of current affairs, and also to take stock of actual history.

The cornerstone of formalised human liberty in Britain and Ireland derives from the magna carta, and freedom of expression was later confirmed in the restoration period of British history, That is the true origin of our freedom of expression in Ireland, here in Europe we don't claim our freedom from some redneck American war chief or his posse of illiterates.

I used to think that way too. Until I looked after my brother's cat while he was away.
Much less hassle than dogs. They look after themselves for the most part and if you treat them well, they are very affectionate and playful.

Cats are just sly, selfish and self interested, take no looking after.

Dogs have loyalty and love. Dogtanion rocks.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

Supposedly if you were to drop dead in your house alone with your dog he would lay by your side until he dies while cat in the same situation will eat your eyes.
Em no. Your dog will also eat you. Its a myth.

Cats are self sufficient, but are also affectionate and good company when they are around. (Well my brothers was anyway)
While I like dogs, they take a LOT of looking after, which is a bad thing most of the time,

Dogs are just amazing, i read this article earlier today and loved it. Delighted the dog has a new home to go to.

I really do believe the dog in someway sensed what had happened. My friends dog knows when her diabetic son needs his insulin. He will sit by the little guy and bark to get her attention.

Cats are awesome, and they do show genuine love if they are treated well. Like someone said already, it just takes time to get to know a cat, but once you do they really are great pets. My parents cat recently died, but he absolutely adored my dad, it was obvious. He followed him around the house, and used to snuggle up on his chest and sleep on his stomach when Dad was watching television. I used to wake up some mornings with the cat in the bed beside me too, sometimes. He was a fantastic pet, and was very affectionate and loving. He also appeared to be very clever (my mother used to remark that sometimes it almost seemed as if he was trying to talk to her :D). He was far more likeable creature than the tit of a dog they have now. They got a little Pomeranian or something to replace the cat, and she's the whiniest, stupidest f*cking animal I've ever encountered.

However, all animals are great. Nobody should be mean to them.

A friend of mine used to have a cat and a dog. They were quite close and used to snuggle up on the same chair every evening. Had them both for years when the cat died. As you do, he buried the cat out in the garden.
Now either the dog got the smell of the cat, or saw my mate bury it, but the dog for weeks after would lie down next to where the cat was buried.
It used to really upset his Mother.

Dogs feel loss, they're pack animals, when a member of the dog's pack dies, they miss them. I don't think that's reading too much into it.

Had it been the other way around I expect the cat may have used the freshly dug earth to dig a hole to crap in.

Also, it never ceases to amaze me how many people appear to find there to be something so horribly tragic to die in fighting for an idea as silly as patriotism, or find honour in a flag. They deserve a Darwin award more than strangers' tears.

This has to be the most cúntish post ive ever seen on boards. After coming out with something like that i dont think ill ever take your posts seriously again. Absolute knobjockey!
