    I'd like to see how that works out for them. They simply aren't worth full price now they've been discontinued.

    They weren't worth full price before they were discontinued, confirmed by the fact that they didn't sell :D

    To all those who got 1, you jammy bastards ;) well done.

    Hope to see a reduction in the kindle soon

    Any more movement on FNAC for anyone??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,602 ✭✭✭✭Basq

    If anyone tried to buy / sell Argos reservations on here, they'll be getting a holiday from the forum.. it's just unfair!

    First and final warning!

    Since they stated between 6 and 10 days for despatch on order, I'd imagine a few days wait before any further movement.

    To anyone who bought the touchpad today at full price at expansys. This was the agreement you signed up to: http://i.imgur.com/cAg6S.jpg

    It clearly states that they will not charge you without confirming the order a second time when their stock arrives.

    If they do go ahead and charge you without a second confirmation and refuse to cancel it, call your bank. They will ask you to send a letter to them detailing why you think they should make a charge back to your credit card/bank account.

    Show them that jpg.

    This sort of thing has happened to me before and it always works out. I've mentioned this before on this thread but it looks like it needs to be said again.

    I was one of them who ordered today at full price. Got one confirmation e-mail but Credit Card was charged twice!! Let's hope they reduce the price and then sell me two!!

    Cheers.

    Wouldn't bet on a kindle reduction soon, they sell like hotcakes. I have one, it's great.

    Just spotted this on the FNAC's Twitter:
    Good evening everyone on the # touchpad , the status "command in preparation" means that the product was ordered from supplier

    That's not good! :(

    Depends if you want to just read with it, to be honest. Kindle lasts 3 weeks on one charge, and doesn't irritate my eyes when reading books. For everything else, I agree.

    People who ordered a tablet "subject to available 4 to 12j" will be notified by mail of the progress of their order. # hp

    4-12j is probably 4-12 jours, or days.

    From Argos? The code should be in the email heading... If not, some lucky fecker just won the Touchpad lottery!!!

    Not for reading. A backlit screen just cannot compare with e-ink. A kindle is designed for one thing only and it excels at it. Your eyes tire quicker looking at a real page than they do a kindle 3.

    Tablet -> multimedia consumption.
    Kindle -> reading.

    They're up again on misco at full price :mad:

    I won't loose any sleep either way whether I get a reduced price "touchpad" or not, but I did buy quite a bit of stuff from Misco, and unless I hear a good explanation, my business with them has ceased.
    Far as I can see, they had touchpads, they then had no touch pads, then removed them from everyones basket and now have touchpads at full price.
