I think I fcuked it up. Put my delivery address as my billing address and now when I try to change it it won't let me save the correct one, keeps adding one line of the delivery address despite it not being in the form before I hit save.

Order status showing as "control being validated bank". Dose.

    control being validated bank

There was so much stock sold around the world that I see they're selling for about €180 in ebay anyway.

thats good to hear. maybe everyone will get their touchpads then :)
Its unlikely man. They have "subject to availability" there for a reason. Im guessing maybe 50-100 orders from boards.ie alone so far? Then you have hundreds of other irish people, hundreds of people from the UK, france, spain, germany etc. Its unlikely they have more than a few hundred touchpads, maybe 1000 of them at the max.

I'm editing my billing address and putting in the correct one but somehow the Dublin postcode of my work address keeps appearing there.

Cleared cache and restarted browser to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

I hear say of Elara getting 1000 or so. Any truth to that you think?

Elara tried to reserve 1000+ in the supply chain those type of orders have been cancelled and now hp will be allocating them. Theres no way elara will get anything anywhere near 1000. I would imagine that a lot of these will go in the business to business channels and once the rest are divided among the retail channels there won't be many available on each site.

Can't imagine there is anything like the stocks available to meet all orders placed ?

I went through Amazon.com & Bongo yesterday, but not sure that's going to be any better.

^^ Why not pay via Paypal.

Like everyone else, dont need one but still ordered, paid through paypal.

Got the confirmation email like everyone else.

Whenever theres bargains like these, lots of random posters who have been joined for years but very rarely post, come out of the woodwork.

Elara will have 300-400 of them max I say. Thats including all models. Still a good chance of getting them within say 2 hours of the discount going into place.

I'm coming with bottles of water containing fast acting laxatives myself.

Oh and to stay on topic, I've heard rumours that there are none in Liffey Valley.

Amazon stock will fly off the shelves I say, good chance with dabs if they get say 30 of them, as not many will think of them.

Yeah, not doubting the legitimacy of FNAC but how many people on here had heard of them this morning ? The point is that in these stampedes, people will rush into something without checking it out and the next site with stock might not be so legit.

I'm old enough to remember the great Nintendo Wii hunt of '07. Back then, sites like FNAC and El Corte Ingles came to the rescue of desperate Irish parents.

Sometimes you have to just accept that going to powerful European neighbours for help is a good option. What could possibly go wrong?
