So the way PC world liffey valley will have 8 touchpads tomorrow. It's first come first served as in no one is able to reserve them?

When I got to the fnac website it says 430 odd....and then I click on another new item and its 99 after delivery cost it works out at 106 is this right?

Bought my online from Fnac. €113 including delivery. Between my French classes from school & Google translate I got through the process :-) I can't see anywhere in my confirmation e-mail 'Subject to availability' but I stand corrected if that is the case. Hope not.

Right, so I got caught up in the hype. Opened this thread about 15 minutes ago, asked a question that shouldn't have been asked if I read the OP properly and then posted a troll face to attempt to cover my tracks.

Then I googled Touchpad and Android to see if it's actually going to happen and after approximately 43 seconds of research I spent €112 on a piece of tech I don't really need.

Goddamned Bargain Alerts.

Technically, that does appear to be the case but from what I can gather online today the resellers are just waiting for the go ahead from HP to sell them at €99. I think Fnac are taking the orders now.

Loving mine I have to say - WebOS is surprisingly snappy, and having Angry Birds for free is a bit of a bonus. Surprised that Youtube videos play full screen so well too.

What's with the Sim card slot? It doesn't look like it can take a Sim ...

Ordered 1 16gb off Fnac. Have 2 reserved at Argos (both 32gb, one for me and one for a birthday present... their birthday is not for 2 months but it's a decent present!). Got the confirmation off Fnac so we'll see what happens. I'll try get a 32gb off Elara in the morning as well before work but if not I'll hold out for Argos. If I get one off Elara tomorrow then I'll give the Argos reservation codes to friends or anyone on here that needs one after that (Waterford Argos).

I think I'd rather foot the bill of ~€21 for the delivery (total for 2, €13 from Fnac and €8 from Elara) than risk not getting one at all. I don't necessarily need a tablet but it's a great offer and I'll get more than my moneys worth using the thing. Hopefully the Android port will be successful as I have nothing Android in my life currently so would like to play around with that!

If I get one off Elara tomorrow I'll post up so people can get the Argos reservation code off me if they want it.
