German Retailers are waiting for the go ahead to price the Pre3 and Veer at €79 and €59 respectively. The Pre3 made an appearance on the German HP Store at €79, but the store has been down all day. Unfortunately no one in Ireland sells the Pre3/Veer, but the European Palm Store and HP Germany will ship here.

The 64GB Touchpad is/will be priced at €179.99. By the sounds of things, HP are trying to co-ordinate the Price Drops in all markets.

So perhaps Harvey Norman purchase their products centrally from a global hub, and thus are not in line wiht the rest of the Irish market. Hence they could price drop early.

Any word on accessories price drops? I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the charging stand, but not at 80e.

    Official word from Elara:
    Touchpad 16GB - €99
    Touchpad 32GB - €129
    Touchpad 64GB - €179
    Pre 3 - €79
    Accessories 50% off SRP
No returns - Finding out what this means now.

16gb can still even now be ordered in the Drogheda Argos store.

it cant , its a fault on argos system
you can try to reserve it, but you wont get a confirmation number, just a general email

It's hard to know. They could have just chanced their arm, or got a Memo to start selling them at the given prices at a certain time but just went straight ahead and sold them today.

    Just to let you know

There are NO TOUCHPADS in galway

I'm just back from both curry's and PC world and have been informed by managers in both stores that all HP tablets are completely SOLD OUT.

They've been reserved since yesterday so therefore none for sale tomorrow

So if you were planning on queuing tomorrow save yourself the hassle there's none left :(
I was in Curry's in Galway yesterday and was told that I couldn't reserve it. Makes me think.

Really don't want to leave my 100MB connection at work to go home and use my iPhone for internets, but, 'tis home time. BETTER not go on sale and sell out in the next 5 minutes.

Elara now changed their site to say the Touchpad price will be updated by the end of the day instead of the close of business

They say details to be decided by HP. Those details have now been decided, but thats no guarantee the price will go live by the end of the day. My understanding is they're trying to get stock.
