Picked up a 32GB TouchPad in Harvey Norman Limerick 3 hrs ago for €129. On the box the price was marked as €579.
This has been a productive day for me.
    Cheers for the Bargain Alert.
While we're bragging, I got 5 for 68 euros each from America yesterday. 80 each tax and shipping included

Am I right in saying we don't have Dixons here any more? Good sign for Currys/PC World though.

    Just to let you know

There are NO TOUCHPADS in galway

I'm just back from both curry's and PC world and have been informed by managers in both stores that all HP tablets are completely SOLD OUT.

They've been reserved since yesterday so therefore none for sale tomorrow

So if you were planning on queuing tomorrow save yourself the hassle there's none left :(

    Yeah; headaches, toothaches, hangovers...

Aside from my argos reservation, i have one of these 'pre-ordered'...

from expansys, there's links for both 16/32 at full price and mysterious duplicate of each capacity with unknown prices available for pre-order.

You can pre-order for free and they mail you when the item comes 'in stock' about the price so that you can confirm you want it before they charge you.

I reserved two touchpad at two different Argos shops last night, my nearest shop only had 32gb and I ordered a 16gb from a second location. I didn't receive any Text message, but I received emails from Argos for both reservations, but neither of them have a reservation number. There may have been a reservation number on the web page, but i didn't record them and as in the past i assumed the text and email would contain all information. I just looked at the two emails and they say "Thanks for shopping at Argos.ie. If you requested it, we'll also send your reservation number by text.
Please remember that these items have not yet been paid for. Please quote your reservation number at the store.", "Print this page to take your reservation number to the store then pay for and collect your items." but no where in the email does it specify the reservation number or any details at all about my reservation.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Pre order units are 3g & wifi these were never built so you'll be waiting!

That page has been online for a few months and I think the reason it says pre-order is because they havent gotten around to launching a 3G model in Europe (and won't now).

It happened to me in the past. i.e. email with no reservation number.

You don't have a reservation, it's some sort of fault.

Any word on accessories price drops? I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the charging stand, but not at 80e.

German Retailers are waiting for the go ahead to price the Pre3 and Veer at €79 and €59 respectively. The Pre3 made an appearance on the German HP Store at €79, but the store has been down all day. Unfortunately no one in Ireland sells the Pre3/Veer, but the European Palm Store and HP Germany will ship here.

The 64GB Touchpad is/will be priced at €179.99. By the sounds of things, HP are trying to co-ordinate the Price Drops in all markets.

Well then I'm SOL, because now all the Argos shops have no availability, and here I thought I was OK because I reserved two last night from two different stores.

16gb can still even now be ordered in the Drogheda Argos store.

I created an account on Dixons UK with DeliverMe.ie as the delivery address. But I had to put DeliverMe.ie as the billing address also, it wouldn't accept an Irish billing address.

Would this cause trouble with my credit card (if I order) address not matching the billing address?

was looking at argos to see what the story was, tried reserving and they are saying that both models are out of stock!
