Do you have to be over 14 to answer this?

Depends on if you're firing payload yet.

You may have to do a viscosity check.

Eh? Anyone have an explanation for this?

I don't know for sure but I imagine it is the same reason for blood donations - less risk of handling infected body fluids.

Edit: Darn, beaten too it by thatnastyboy, nasty fecker!

Yes, but I am going to assume that every sample is screened so why does it matter.

Every blood sample is screened also but it reduces the risk of staff handling possibly infected fluids.

I dont know why, but its obviously a valid reason if theyre allowed ask it on this, and considering they are constantly crying out for blood donations, im sure the reason is very above board. Nothing biggoted about it i'd imagine.

I think the "reasoning" is that Gay men generally have a higher rate of HIV infection as opposed to straight men.

Of men who have HIV, 60%ish are gay, 40%ish are straight and as there is a lot less gay men than straight, the odds of a gay man having HIV are much higher than a straight man.

Still retarded logic to discriminated on that, not treating people as individuals so its obviously just plain discrimination. So a straight guy with HIV can donate blood but a gay guy without HIV cant.

Also how do you prove someone is gay? The ol'skool tried and tested primary school test of asking 2 questions: How do you look at your nails? How do you cross your legs?

This straight guy got turned down for being camp:

The big money is in egg donation rather than sperm (which makes sense in terms of supply limitation - one or two eggs a month verses a few million sperms a day...). But I do remember a news story a couple of months ago where a European country (can't remember which one, sorry) were having trouble getting sperm donations due to a change in the law which means the children will now have a legal right to be told who the donor was so have upped their price to 2000 a shot. If Ryanair have cheap flight running sounds like it could well be worth a day trip.
