Need help stalking!

Ok so I was friendly with a girl about 10 years ago when I was in collage, Not intimate just good mates, she had a rough time and I used to like kinda looking out for her (in my own head I was, she was easily influenced and a bit of a nutter, but i cant say I didnt think very fondly of her)

Anyway, I moved away - phones/numbers got lost/broken, people get busy etc etc etc.

So I was back in that town about 4 years ago and decided to call over, I was on an errand so I could only stop by and say hi - and as I had no number for her just called by the house - No-one home

So a year after that, same thing.

Next year, same thing.

I was beginning to think this girl had maybe moved away, as her parents had bought her the house and she was having trouble finding work etc, or maybe she just sold it and bought somewhere else or moved to the moon or something.

So I was in the town again today, and did my little yearly road trip by her house, no-one home!!! But - the front was done up with a new fence, and lovely potted plants and bushes and the house looked well, maintained, and lived in, so someone is living there.

I asked one of the neighbours who was living there and he couldnt tell me so i plodded along home with myself.

I have searched facebook, bebo, and even tried myspace!!! No trace of her.

As with all new houses built around the time, the builders never heard of a landline and the house has no number - all the places she worked are gone, the people are gone, and our mutual friends lost contact too and never really bothered after we all moved away.

So - My first question is, how do I find out who owns the house now? If I can do that it would save me knocking on the door once a year for a start. it may also help me find her or get her number, or just get an idea of what happened to her. She cant have vanished!

Before anyone accuses me of being LM or whatever i just really wanted to say hi to her again see how she is doing. and the more times i draw a blank when i look for her - the more i want to find her - ffs it shouldnt take four minutes to find anyone in this day and age let alone 4 years.

So what ideas do you guys have or how would you find her or get her number to say hi, remember me? Sounds pretty sad but i genuinely want to find out how she is. as I said she had a rough time over the years i knew her so i'd love to find her and see ho she is doing.
