In a relationship with an English lad, love his accent especially when he says certain words :)

Not really a difference but I was also seeing another English fella for a short time and I've noticed that both of them were a lot more mannerly than Irish lads.

I think I may once have been in a relationship with a girl that wasn't human.

It was a brief tempestuous affair......with mutual recrimination!

(that btw is the best kind of recrimination)

I'm currently dating a Cuban-American girl, just coming to the end of a long distance period where she had to move back home. Tbh, I haven't really noticed much of a difference. Both of us are well travelled, so we have a similar outlook on the world

All of my girlfriends have been foreign. (I have a certain taste!)

My current gf of two years is Hong Kong born, but lived in Ireland since 8 years old. She kinda gets Irish humour (which ended my last relationship with a Malaysian Muslim)(that, and she was crazy), and is a great girl!

    yellow fever?

Just out of a 3yr term with a latvian girl - No real difference in any way - she has her own personality of course but she would still have that were she from ireland - The cultural differences were there but hard to find - people is people. it ended horribly but i cant say she was anything but normal personality wise!

Okay maybe I could have expanded on my comment but this is why I hate saying my wife is from Brazil.

It's always the same....either Wahey!!!! or ah you're showing off.

    FFS.

If I said "My wife is from Portugal", would you have accused me of showing off?
    Show off.

I don't think I've been in a relationship with someone Irish since I was 14 years old :S I don't know what it is, even when I was living in Ireland, I always had some kind of weird attraction for foreigners (even when they didn't seem 'foreign' at all, it always came out that they were born somewhere else, or their parents were from another country). My current and longest relationship is with an Israeli guy, and love him to bits :)

My wife is a Geordie and I swear to Jesus at least one week does not go by when she doesn't use a new slang word that I've never heard before. I think she makes them up to confuse me.

I also thought Irish people swore a lot, until I visited the North East of England where the word fuck is used instead of a comma.

I had two long-term relationships with foreigners, one was half-German, half-American, the other was Egyptian but had lived in Ireland for a bit. Tbh, I enjoyed those relationships more than ones I had with Irish girls.

It's not that I find foreign girls all the more interesting (apart from being hotter), it's that they're not Irish girls. I've had a lot of problems with Irish girls in the past and that has skewed my view of them. I've had a lot less crap to deal with when going out with foreign girls or having one nighters with them and that puts them ahead of Irish girls for me.

I'd be very wary of getting involved with an Irish girl again as the ones I've been with seem to have had the same problems: possessive, high-maintenance, sense of entitlement, maternal instincts. It happened too many times for me to see them as coincidences, I genuinely believe that these traits pop up in most Irish girls.

    Lots.

A Scottish lass, an American, a Spaniard, a Dutch girl, a Welsh girl, a Polish girl and a Finn. In my experience, most Irish girls were boring and unadventurous. Not all though.

Many Australians, But then I was the Foreigner and they were Loco Locals
    couple of PNG Islanders
One nighter with a girl from Singapore
    and a few German girls

I dont know if I'd bother with an IrishGirl again, they're just too much hastle IMO

Went out with two girls from Sweden (not at the same time) they'd a good sense humour and looked great but a bit on the intense/argumentative side.

Lived with a load of Parisians for a year and lived there for a few months. Didn't like em much to be honest. Fierce complainers and saw them treat friends like absolute ****.

In my limited experience irish women seem a bit more easy going about the whole thing.

I went out with a girl from Belfast once. A lot of work, I'm sticking to Irish women from now on.

I'd say about half my gfs over the years were foreign, mostly european except for one from brazil. Irish women i think are much harder work and far more uptight about some things. Especially sex. Especially if they're from the whole Central or Eastern Europe area they're way more adventurous in bed

Not so into material things like Irish girls too, and I find that foreign girls are way more comfortable with themselves and their bodies and don't really go around dressed in miniskirts when it's pelting rain on a saturday. So I guess I'm saying that Irish girls tend to over-do the dolly bird thing while foreigners can be twice as sexy in jeans & tshirt.
Also foreign food is nicer than most Irish dishes and it's great to see a foreigner beaming with pride when you enjoy some food or drink native to her land.

Married to a Pole now, think we might move there soon, the have four proper seasons, nicer food and a land of skinny gorgeous women, good beer and vodka too......feck all whiskey tho

Yeah I got him to teach me some Geordie slang. Can't understand it! He never really uses it, but I do get a few good laughs out of his accent.
