I've only been lurking for about 18 months or so but it doesn't seem to have changed much to me.

I always liked that you'd get a mix of nonsense and serious stuff, just like normal conversations with friends. Depending on your mood you could pick and choose which threads to read or get involved in: ****ting in public or a thread that develops from an intelligent discussion about religion into a religious person and an atheist arguing back and forth with each other for twenty pages.

Maybe it's more serious than it used to be, but there's still enough silliness for those want it.
