These are the first serious riots in Britain since the 80s. Drop housing and benefits for this lot, and see how that improves things.

Drop housing benefits, and move them all to a deserted island in the Arctic Circle works for me.

Remember when hundreds of english football hooligans tried to take the piss ? Remember what happened to them ? The Gardaí went through them and literally knocked the shít out of every one of them. I think if you tried that here the guards would be the least of your worries.

    This ? Scumbag @ 1:57 :) Good enough for them !!

the let me narrow it down for you. yoof culture. Same unshifting mass eyesore herbert scum for decades. rave and hippity hop, that's where the crims and snides hole up. i dunno it just.. attracts or breeds a new type of spineless muppet. seen cultures come and go; but this one.. Urgh. idiot niche.

I know what it is or what is being used to represent, I haven't seen the term be used with such disdain for all those same decades.

The solution isn't about draconian measures or vigilantes. None of that stopped it. Quintupling the police on duty stopped that. Having a police officer on every corner put an end to it, not water cannon or live rounds or baton charges or vigilante-ism. They may be young, but they're not that stupid. They weren't out of control when police were on hand. And when all those officers are let go and put back into the rubbish heap by Cameron, the same problem whatever every individual decides it is will be there.

Whether Britain wants to afford or can afford that level of policing over a longer period and whether you want to give such an awful police force as the Met that sort of power, well that'll probably never be agreed upon.

I strongly suspect you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about with this comment.

I like the idea of denying council housing to those convicted.

Absolute insanity for tax payers to be paying to house those who are burning peoples houses.

Correct and that's happening here!....in Limerick anyway afaik:mad:

only rave themed festivals to see beck / primal scream / orb and the like.. didn't like mingling with the mingers though. wander'd into the odd ballroom.. disco has become really sleazy over the past two decades; immensely heightened predator / slapper environment ecaserbated by artificial music/drug, attracting/producing a new low of degenerate. That's not progress at all

You gotta love the generalisation. Most of my mates that I frequented the rave scene with are solicitors, accountants, engineers, artists etc

Never seen any of them rob or loot.
Some have worn hooded sweatshirts on occasion.

This is what happens when teachers are not allowed to hammer the living s**t out of students in school.

so this answer is no then you havent. proper raves in a field or abandoned site, even at electronic night were great fun where you would get no trouble and meet some of the nicest people you could. youd tend not to run into snobs who judge people to be degenerate based on their taste in music

and ballroom? are you actually taking the piss?

True i know but it is a valid point. When i was in primary school the nut job headmaster had a leg of a chair for dealing with anyone who got out of line.

Yeah, it's the music. They shouldn't be listening to the likes of 50 Pence or Snoopy Snoopy Dog Dog.

And you do know music has been blamed in every decade since my grandparents?

A teaching assistant I believe. How can you blame some of them when they are being so heavily influenced in school by a scumbag like him? Hopefully he is sacked immediately and prevented from working with children ever again.

Hip hop and RnB are the bad ones, techno a bit aswell but rave is OK, isn't it? All the computer nerds are into rave...

Thats only because they are at Electric Picnic, where the line up has always determined, that there never has been, or will, be any trouble.

Teaching assistant actually. And his job is to babysit the crap/incapable/unwilling students because of yet another liberal policy which is that of "inclusion".

Sure, mix the dumbasses and the unwilling in with the kids with potential. I can't possibly see how that could go wrong.

That's not really the purpose of a teaching assistant.. but assuming it was, what would your alternative be?

lol. if nothing else, at least this fiasco has given those on the right an excuse to attack all things 'liberal'.

There was a movement led by a local councillor in my town to have the grammar schools closed down so rest of the local population didn't feel inferior or excluded because they went to normal comprehensives. No concern was given to the fact that it would seriously hamper the progress and attainment of the more capable students.

Thankfully, common sense prevailed but it makes you weep for the future of the world.

I enjoy Snoop, Def Jam, early Kanye West but you have to admit, some of the drivel and racist, sexist, money hungry, violent and hate inciting bs that is coming out is too much...
