I just had some Durian. My god it was vile. Like a rotting mix of custard & melon with a strong dose of garlic thrown in.

I was working with a silage contractor a few years ago, hunger was part of the job as you would rarely get fed. One day we were working on this farm and they called us to the dinner which was great as it would keep us going for the rest of the day. When we went into the house for the dinner we were not prepared for what we saw, an old grey haired woman with rotten teeth putting the dinner out on the table. If that wasn't enough to knock the hunger off us the dinner consisted of hairy bacon cold spuds and cold beans  needless to say we left without hardly touching our dinners and didn't worry about hunger for the rest of that day. One of our crew actually almost licked his plate clean

Aw you would've loved to do the silage on my uncle's farm- my grandmother used to treat the silage men like kings when they were around! It was a huge thing every year, massive fabulous dinners, cleaned the house from top to bottom, fresh baking every day! Good times....

Most disgusting thing I've ever eaten is cucumber.

Paella and calamari in Barcelona. It was like chewing the tyre of a bike that someone puked on. Its probably a nice dish in other places, but the cafe was a bit dodgy.

Are you in Malaysia by any chance?

There are stickers/signs on the doors there that say "No Durian" like "No dogs" signs.

    It stinks for 20 metres.

I thought it was actually alright. Vile smell, I remember everywhere having signs that forbid you from having it on the premises. Stinky fruit is what they referred to it as in English :D

It smells alright but the garlicky onion part of the taste makes me want to puke. I'm sure if I took a big bite of the stuff I would actually puke
