I was working with a silage contractor a few years ago, hunger was part of the job as you would rarely get fed. One day we were working on this farm and they called us to the dinner which was great as it would keep us going for the rest of the day. When we went into the house for the dinner we were not prepared for what we saw, an old grey haired woman with rotten teeth putting the dinner out on the table. If that wasn't enough to knock the hunger off us the dinner consisted of hairy bacon cold spuds and cold beans  needless to say we left without hardly touching our dinners and didn't worry about hunger for the rest of that day. One of our crew actually almost licked his plate clean

Aw you would've loved to do the silage on my uncle's farm- my grandmother used to treat the silage men like kings when they were around! It was a huge thing every year, massive fabulous dinners, cleaned the house from top to bottom, fresh baking every day! Good times....

Most disgusting thing I've ever eaten is cucumber.

Paella and calamari in Barcelona. It was like chewing the tyre of a bike that someone puked on. Its probably a nice dish in other places, but the cafe was a bit dodgy.

Are you in Malaysia by any chance?

There are stickers/signs on the doors there that say "No Durian" like "No dogs" signs.

    It stinks for 20 metres.

I thought it was actually alright. Vile smell, I remember everywhere having signs that forbid you from having it on the premises. Stinky fruit is what they referred to it as in English :D

It smells alright but the garlicky onion part of the taste makes me want to puke. I'm sure if I took a big bite of the stuff I would actually puke

I too experienced Durian in both Singapore and Thailand the smell made me gag so I couldn't taste it. The hotels have signs up banning it and if you are caught on the Signapore Metro with it you will be fined S$500 (€300).

Cabbage for me is a horrible food and the smell of it makes me wretch, like who the hell could eat it? Cabbage and Brussels sprouts make me wonder if the sewer is blocked such is the stink.

They eat some crazy sh1t in Asia though.

Fish guts. Was served fish whole and had to open it, separate the meat from the organs myself.

It's actually pretty easy to do as the difference between the meat and the organs is obvious and the organs are all close together.

I still managed to accidentally eat part of the intestine and the taste was absolutely foul. Had something like bile to it but a lot stronger and just instinctively tasted wrong.

Wanchai Ferry Kung Pao chicken - bought the box thinking this might be a nice sauce to try, chopped chicken and veg and off I went. After one mouthful both me and my boyfriend had to spit it out and chuck it in the bin, it was vile.
