I worked out would need to post an average of 16 posts a day for the last 4 years to get to where their numbers are.

    23,376?

back when boards was young most people that posted weren't absolute spamwhores
Seems I now post 4.8 a day. I think it used to be around the 2.61 point a few years back. I find it depends on my job :P

I've posted more than 300 in a week and a half but my average is way lower.

For me it depends on whether the boss is in or out. He's got two weeks holidays up from next week \o/

16 posts a day is nothing. I was on another forum and a poster had an average of 150 posts per day. This wasn't a troll who signed up to spam for the weekend but someone who posted that much for months on end.

High post counts don't mean anything. It is annoying though when you don't have lots of posts and someone thinks that this means you cannot be capable of having an opinion different to theirs. Obviously being new to a forum means you must be new to life itself and should therefore bow down to their superior views

For some strange reason, when I'm hungover (which is regularly), posting on boards is about the only thing I'm capable of. If I ever give up the sauce, my posts per day count will plummet!

OP bear in mind some people (like me) post things like pics or videos to specialist pics/video threads, so not just "talk" posts. Posting photographs on a "regular" basis has done wonders for my post count :)

A mate of mine was a heavy boards user but one day he didn't get the same buzz off boards, he moved on to heavier forums. He now sells his ass for internet cafe vouchers. There is a lesson to be learnt there kids.

So it's clear that tar.aldarion is gunning for the top spot with a higher rate of daily posting.

Mike65 better keep an eye over his shoulder as there's a new (...in an old sort of way!) Sheriff in town.

    :pac:

What freaks me out are the people who join and have 400 posts in a month. At least I spreaded out my timewasting over a year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,698 ✭✭✭✭Princess Peach

I used to be on like an average of 17 posts a day technically. Somedays it could be close to 100 though. I was having a bad time. Managed to cut back considerably.

I spend a lot of time here cause I have no life!

I was like that at first in the few weeks after I signed up, firing off posts left right and centre. But I soon got bored of doing it so much and would stop and think for a moment before posting to make sure there was a point in posting.
At my peak I was at about 20 posts per day, but it's been steadily getting lower and is about 8 per day and still going gradually down.

Look at your join date and post count, then look at mine and reconsider your statement.

I always find it strange that people are proud of their post count on here, and people are given out to for being spam whores to get bigger post count.

Surely, the higher your post count, the bigger the loser you are? :p
