I was under an earthquake? I duno, how am i supposed to say that.

It wasn't too big 5.7 but we were all falling asleep and the walls started shaking, cups hopping along coffee table and a couple of guys burst in through the patio doors screaming satan is loose!, satan is loose! They were playing with a ouija board as it happens and the glass was tipped over by the shaking :D

There was a fair bit of building damage the next day though, rightly shook the place up.

(we were in holland and all on drugs at the time, which helps for dramatic effect)

Lots of tornado warnings and watches but nothing major yet in the state of Illinois, lucky enough. Always potential for a storm from around March until August or September.

    Was I fcuk!!

Slipped into the Wheelchair shitter at a well known southside shopping centre to be confronted by utter devastation.

Bang of curry sauce and chili and all the toilet furniture coated in a sludge of ripe midden, like a mad plasterer went postal.

    Fcuker must have exploded:mad:

    Do tell?

Was off the coast of Malaysia around March 2005. Got woken up by everything shaking. Got up, tried the nearest fire escape in the hotel but couldn't get out that way as it was under construction.

Reception was pretty crowded. Figured after what had happened the Christmas previously it wasn't a great idea to hang around by the sea shore. Lad I was with had a rental car so we decided to head for higher ground. Took a couple of others along.

Waited it out for a bit, made a couple of phone calls home to get any info then returned when the coast was clear.

Surreal experience, a little shook afterwards.

While I was nowhere near the Sichuan earthquake in 2008, we could feel it in Beijing.

Was never in any danger but it was difficult to believe that on the 31st floor of a swaying building.

I was caught up in this crazy flood in La Paz, Bolivia. I was out in the city at the time at a street corner. It started to rain hailstones, which blocked the drains. I had just been asked by a random English chap for help on where to stay and we were situated at the joining of the main street Prado (on a hill - well everything is on a hill in La Paz) and another smaller street coming in from another hill. Then it started to lash rain. Within minutes it was a grade 4 rapid. Cars were flying down the street. A street-seller came flying in from a side-street, holding onto her street-stall cabinet and flew down the road at high speed as if she was partcipating in a new extreme sport. We couldn't move but were also protected from the flow by the side-street flow creating a small oasis where it hit the main flow. People had to be helped from buildings on the other side of the street by breaking off iron bars. About ten seconds after the last person (or what I assumed was the last person) got out the whole building collapsed. Just before that one guy tried an indiana jones type manoeuvre on a rope or wire to get out of the same building. There was a huge iron/tin/wood awning about 30 feet up over us. This started to make worrying creaking noises. Eventually (after about 2 hours) the flow of the water started to subside and finally got to a level where you could move. Was pretty lucky. In the aftermath you could see vans and cars trapped in underpasses where people could and may have drowned. Over 70 died in the end I think.
