There's a few scenarios which are more probable than just an accidental fire, considering the owners history:

    1. Revenge for threats made against other publicans
    2. Refusal to pay protection money
    3. Insurance job
    4. Sectarian idiots

Beacuse the swear filter will block out the whole word otherwise.

Ah sure they get all their info from the heddled and the sunday world.

I last bought the Herald a decade ago because I was looking for a place to rent, and DAFT hadn't taken off yet. I've never bought the Sunday World.

Still, it's amusing to be patronised. :D

Eh, what is the players lounge, somewhere the players go for a few post match beers after a game in Landsdowne Rd?

There were like 100 tellys in there I think? Some amount of damage if it was gutted.

Does the queen have an alibi for her where abouts on the night in question?

Hopefully it'll be back open soon. Always a good spot for a pre or post match pint being so close to Croke Park. Never witnessed any trouble or "scumbags" in there in the 15-20 times I was there.

First thought i had as well. The place is to well known now so a nice little fire to start over.
so what the guy goes out of his way to let people know where his bar is and just as its getting well known he burns in down only to move somewhere different and start the process all over again, yeah right i can see the logic.

Yes, but Prince Phil was knocking them back in the Chancery this morning.

Was in on Sunday, very nice pub. I could understand the robbery, there may have been a lot of cash still left in the place after the bank holiday weekend, they would have done well with all the Celtic fans around for the Super Cup.

This is the pub were the Irish rugby team drink and the international golfers when they come here... a real loss to dublin :(
